I live barefooted and naked, very close to Earth and Nature, in a 16-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i. I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙

While Hive is over-the-top amazing as it is now, given its open-source community development, there are always new features and dimensions being added to our Hive experience. With Hive we get to choose the direction out Blockchain goes.
If you could add any feature(s) to Hive, or even a particular front-end, what would it be?
For my part, I'd love to see Hive's decentralization (which is great) move to full distribution, which would notably improve the network's resilience. With full distribution, all nodes would be both Hive and Hive-Engine nodes.
I'd also love to see image, audio, and video files able to be written to the Blockchain directly in some manner, without having to depend on external sites. Otherwise important aspects of what we publish could easily be lost.
Two very important features that I think should be a default for any front-end are auto-saving of posts and the ability to create post templates. It is exactly because PeakD has these features that I use it to write most of my Hive posts. While I very much appreciate and use other interfaces, I've lost posts that I had spent a good bit of time writing because they were not auto-saved. I write so many posts of a similar nature that being able to save and edit post templates is essential.
What features are important to you and your daily Hive experience? What elements from other platforms would you like to see integrated into Hive and/or its front-ends? What would make Hive even more amazing for you?
As I mentioned in my previous post, I went out for Sunday Funday, to the beach (Kehena) and the Lawn, with Aloha, Mahina, Akua, and their dad, Marko. It took two little girls begging me for two days to convince me to leave the jungle for a day.
Marko had to run a few short errands first, but we got to the beach by early afternoon. This was my first Sunday Funday since before my breakup with Kai at the end of July, so it was an interesting and good experience being in that area again. It was definitely very familiar.
We didn't stay at the beach for very long, but in our time there I sat and looked out at the ocean for a bit, then I played with with Aloha in the waves for a while, which was fun. We left the beach by the late afternoon to head to the Lawn, where many people had already congregated. The Lawn is a large grassy expanse with lots of coconut palms in front of Seaview, where I lived with Kai for a time. Every Sunday there is a drum circle (which begins at the beach) and several local vendors, and lots of people coming together to enjoy time with each other. While I forgot to take photos at the beach, I did get a few from the Lawn and surrounding area.
We left to return to GaiaYoga before sunset, so the kids could eat before bed, and so I could get back to what I needed to do on Hive. I made food as soon as I got home, then headed back to the Flow House to dive into some very focused Hive catch-up and tasks. Even with multiple hours of such focused work, I was still not able to finish writing my Sunday Weekly Hive Goals and Progress Update Last night before sleep overtook me around 2AM.
This morning I helped Aloha and Mahina with their food while I made my superfood fire coffee, and then I sat down in the Landing with them to finish writng and then publish my Hive Goals and Progress Update. As soon as that was published I stated writing this post, which of course I couldn't do last night, either. I worked on it before, during, and after the Leadership Council meeting, while giving the kids the attention that they were wanting.
It's now almost 1:30PM, so the latest I've ever published this post so far. Even though my Hive schedule got borked, I'm still grateful that I went out with Marko and the kids to do the Sunday Funday thing. Happy children makes it worth it.
It's time to end this post for now so that I can get my day going. I still have all my Hive catch-up to do, but being so late now, it will have to wait until tonight. That's not ideal, but I'll flow with it the best I can! I deeply appreciate you all! Until tonight! Onward and upward, together! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Instead of the upvote button remembering what percentage I last used, I'd love for it to find the lowest percentage vote I can give that gives out the same reward as my latest vote. If that makes sense? And instead of a slider, I'd like plus and minus buttons that steps up (or down) the value of my vote by 0.001. Or for that matter 0.01 or 0.1 or more if I'm real rich! Perhaps the value of each step could be set in the prefs. Because sometimes I need to vote 11% for there to be any value, and sometimes a 6% vote is enough. Then spending the extra 5% for nothing means I can do fewer votes.
But... maybe some people choose to run one kind of node or the other, because they don't have the resources to run both? Wouldn't demanding everybody runs both kinds or neither in fact mean less decentralization, more concentration?
Wouldn't that add tons of gigabytes a day to sift through and index, for every one of all those nodes and search functions and things? Though relying on external sites which can decide to go down, or stop serving contents to one or more of the frontends, is not the best solution either. Maybe a third kind of node? Media-nodes, with redundancy? To be honest, I have no idea where my images are stored when I hit the upload button while writing a post.

I hadn't looked at it from that perspective. The main thing is that with multiple kinds of nodes the system becomes more vulnerable to focused attacks, and hence less resilient.
Yes, I've been mulling it over for a while. I wish we could develop some sort of mathematical hyper-compression. A third kind of node, as mentioned above, would make the network less resilient to attack. I really appreciate how your mind works. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
Ah, I wasn't thinking about the resilience issue. But of course that's plenty important too! Though, who in their right mind would want to attack Hive? 🤨
All good. It's not something that automatically pops into most people's minds. Those that benefit from keeping people enslaved with the current global fiat currency scam would not take kindly to Hive, that puts the power of money back in the hands of the people. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Seriously, there must be something wrong in the head of anyone who thinks their want and craving for ever more money, possessions and power should take precedence over everybody elses need for basic things like clean water, a place to live, proper food, education, health care and the right to live their lives in peace. And every time they cut down our access to those things, they have the temerity to say "the needs of the many... we all have to make sacrifices..." though they've never given up a thing, and would rather burn their old clothes than give them to someone who is cold.
Ah, yes indeed, true! Yep, you very beautifully and succinctly described the present global situation. It's becoming ever-easier for people to see, too. It's getting pretty over-the-top obvious....well, it's been that for ages, but now it's at a stupid level. The vision of the lion that is humanity is beginning to clear. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
Sadly, even though a lot of people see it, we are told to blame each other for every problem instead of those responsible. "It's the women and the immigrants taking all the jobs, it's the people in China/India/Romania who want to have cars, microwave ovens and refrigerators AND make them cheaper than we can, it's the unemployed getting money without paying taxes, it's the lazy kids who don't want to go to college and "make something" of themselves..." Such idiocy!
My simple answers to those who spout that nonsense:

That's because of the psychological operations being carried out to divide the population so that they cannot effectively organize among themselves. My goodness do I love your rant! That anger is in many, all over the world now. As people move past the divide-and-conquer psychology, everywhere they are beginning to organize, locally and globally, to stand for humanity.
