World Coin rises in value, and Nvidia gets it first long red candle in 13 months

We know or data is being sold. Our e-mails and social media accounts, phone number, address, preferences, what we type and even what we say is being sold. But, it doesn't stop there. Our devices are able to capture more than that, they can take photos and record other data.

We have been good with it, since we sign "I agree with the terms and conditions" where this is almost completely disclosed. Nothing free is free, something has to be the product.

The data companies buy is usually used to sell products in a targeted and efficient way. So it's usually related to contact info and preferences when navigating the internet. But there is much more that can be compromised, like identity information, such as name, ID numbers, fingerprints, and recently, iris print.

This is the case for a very controversial cryptocurrency that aims to register all the humans on earth, using a device shaped as an orb to scan people's iris. The idea is to generate a basic income for everyone registered, and it starts by offering to pay 50 World Coins to every person that scans their iris. Not very attractive in the developed countries or to people that value their privacy, but had long lines of people in places like India and Kenya, attracted by the payment.

It is not new, but its value has increased recently, from $2 to almost $8. So we have people betting for this project. Its possible we will get more news.

The hidden purpose of the data collected by World Coin, and specially the areas where it is (and was predictable it would be) popular, caused mistrust among the cryptocurrency users, that usually highly value their privacy. But the iris scan part is no as disturbing as many say it to be. It is a sensitive information, but there more devices with the capability of getting that information. The Vision Pro, that are now still stealing the show, have been recognized for their eye-tracking ability; it's not crazy to believe this is now an information they could collect if they wanted to.

But that doesn't seem to be a concern. After a long time with no App development for this device, new apps have been released, not that the developers have access to the hardware. Many streaming platforms have made their apps for Vision Pro, including Disney+, Peacock, Pluto TV, Tubi, Amazon Prime Video, IMAX, Fubo, Red Bull TV, MUBI, Crunchyroll, and even the popular video content platform Tiktok.

Soon we could get improvements on the shared experience, color display, app placement memory, and more. Vision Pro 2, when and if it's launched, could be a more socialized experience in the digital realm.

It's undeniable that tech companies, especially in the information sector, hold sway over markets, with GPUs now as vital as factories in the old economy. AI and machine learning, major tech advancements, rely heavily on GPUs.

Nvidia, one of the top 3 GPUs manufacturers, saw its shares triple in 2023, but there's concern over its recent performance, affecting NASDAQ and crypto markets. On the last day, Nvidia in the crypto market lost about 3% and NASDAQ has lost %0.5 already.

As long as the manufacturers are so reduced, their impact on the market will be huge. Now investors are waiting for a reliable signal to make their move on this first long red candle after a year on green.

Lets finish with something interesting:Uber Eats to launch autonomous delivery services in Japan . We already have driverless vehicles and other autonomous services, but getting your order delivered to your home by a robot is something we imagined as a futuristic, but for spoiled futuristic people. Now its a possibility. It has already be teste on the US, and now it's going to be implemented in Tokyo, Japan.

It was said by the CEO of Uber Japan that this service will be available along with the service provided my humans, so the robot will not steal their jobs. Its use could be aimed to places that are too close, in areas where a vehicle or bike could be slower, or inside campuses.

What do you think? this invent will launch 100 years worth of tech development to the future or will just be a trial and error?
