My Weekend Went Like This.

my gallery

On Friday, I had my house full of guests, well they weren't faraway guests but my family, (my mum and sisters with their children), For a while now our power supply has been one we can't write up about, we have been having issues getting power supply, This last week supply was one of the worse time, we always had to wait for the electricity company to provide power, it was really frustrating and so that was made my house so full on Friday, I had to buy fuel so we could be able to charge our phones, power bank, and laptops.

In as much as it was still fun having them around from that morning time to night time, it was still a lot of work, as someone had to also control the children who were running everywhere, I think I had to sweep the house up to 10 times that day because they were always making a mess of it and if one place were messed up, the rest of the house would also be messed up, so I had tried my possible best to make sure they were well fed and didn't go around to injure themselves and that they were okay. I did some washing also that day because I was resuming school the next day, and I knew it wasn't going to be easy coming back that same day for school again the next day, well this is because, in Nigeria, fuel subsidy was removed which made every fuel station sell fuel at the rate of 500naira instead of the normal 165naira, this period has been hectic, I so much feel sympathy for those who go to work every day and those who work every far from their home, because transportation rate is now very high, A journey of 200naira has been moved up to 400naira, I experienced this on Saturday when I went out, normally I should have spent just 900naira for my transportation fare to school, well that wasn't the case because I spent 1500naira just to go to school, it was more than while returning home yesterday. well, that's why I decided to stay at school for the whole of Saturday and came back on Sunday, so I could save cost.

School resumed a lot of our coursemates were around and we also had some lecturers come in, but enough they were just complaining of how they will not come to teach us because the school hasn't paid them their salaries, well I know its a righteous cause, but we the student would be the one to face the burnt of this decision they are making, and so a group of us has gathered a class, till when the lecturer would be available, we would be having classes handled by some masters, (we called them masters as they come in place of the lecturer) because we wouldn't want to waste time waiting for the lecturers and also so we can have an idea of what we are doing for the semester since the time table for the whole session is out, we shouldn't waste time and just sit doing nothing, because when the time they stated for the exam when it comes they aren't going to give extra time just because we aren't prepared, so it better to get prepared now.
