Best Staycation Ever.

When a mother says she's fully rested , you are sure to know that, maybe she in fact had a good holiday. This was my best staycation in my house.
In July my kids vacated from school and I thought it was in my best interest and their best interest for them to go visit their grandparents for the summer holiday which I got permission from their father for, before they went there, they were always bored at home simply because I do not allow them go outside to play not that I am strict, they are no children for them to play with and so I can allow them to roam around the compound themselves and besides our house is doesn't have a gate.

So I took them there and they were so glad , even I was glad too, because it meant I would have a good quality great time to myself and this was what happened.

The one month they stayed with their grandparents I had a lot of them to myself, at the first week what I was doing mostly sleeping through the day and also working on my blog and other engagements, it was a fun time, a time I could sleep in without the kids jumping over me, or crying for wanting something, I had good time sleeping to my satisfaction and waking up at the time I wanted and even going back to sleep if I felt like it

Some people might use this time to visit friends but I am not someone who keeps too close friends, so I didn't go out, I am not sad about that though, because this is me I like to be alone to be able to think and meditate well, being alone enables me to think we'll and also have plans for things that I am supposed to do or things I know that has to be done.

CLEANING

I am a clean freak, I don't know why?but I like everywhere to always be clean for me like I don't like seeing dirt around me, I would just start having headaches, so during this good month I guess it was the second week of my staycation, I started with thorough cleaning my kitchen, the kitchen had a kind of look that I didn't like so I gave everywhere a thorough brush down and was satisfied with it the best day I cleaned our bedroom, folded all the clothes that were just lying around due to my not being around for a while(school) .
I made sure everywhere was clean and the next day I finished with the living room.
I had a sense of satisfaction while I did this because there was no one to disturb me and I had a good time.

BONDING WITH HUBBY

This period I and my husband had a good time bonding with each other, there were things that we were always getting angry at each other for, this was because it was kinda hard to communicate about some certain thing when the kids were around, but this one month we had time to talk things out and but whatever hatchet there was between us.

I can say it was the best staycation for me , even though I was home, I enjoyed every minute of it. If ever I get such an opportunity again I would totally grab it.

When school resumed last week I was feeling refreshed, my son didn't go late to school as I was always up early to prepare whatever he needed for school.

It was the best staycation ever.
