A Little Copper
Just a sigh. I'll never learn to focus the lens properly. I shoot with my cell phone. I have quite a few diopters. Some close and some far. I'm too lazy to take a picture again. I'm sorry. At least it shows that I'm actually taking pictures of my coins. I don't think you can download photos this bad anywhere.
But let's cut to the chase. How do these coins differ? Year. And then the obverse.
Victoria, Edward VII, George V, (I miss Edward VIII), George VI, Elizabeth II. The whole Windsor dynasty. Or the Saxe-Coburg-Gothai-Hanoverian dynasty, if you like. The coins circulated for a long time. That's why the first ones are so worn out.
Just a second sigh. In some countries, notes and coins last a long time. They last practically forever. The central bank will exchange your old coins and notes for new ones at any time. This is not the case in my country.
The current coins have been valid in our country since 1993. Older ones are no longer valid. It is even worse with banknotes. New series with new security features often come out. The old series are still valid for some time. But not for long.
Some notes are only valid for ten years. If you find an older note tucked away somewhere, you can keep it as a souvenir or throw it away. No one will ever replace it and the note has expired.
This is another reason for me to store money in gold, silver, or cryptocurrencies.

Paper money is just that, paper. It's only good as long as the government feels like backing it. Precious metals will always have value!
Precious metals will have value until a large golden asteroid hits the earth!

I wouldn't be too hard on yourself. You can only do so much with the technology available. I believe The Big Higg puts his on a scanner. That might be another option for you possibly.
I'm surprised they have the notes expire after ten years instead of still being valid. Still, I like the designs on these better than the ones here. The designers here are not very creative and arguably lazy.
