My First Year at Hive

Hello friends, today is a special day for me, I am celebrating my first year within Hive. A day like today but a year ago I made my presentation at @hivecuba (well not exactly), I forgot to put the community when publishing (emoticon) and I had to do crosspot, what a good start right? Today is a day of celebration and what better way to do it than by making a post to recap everything this year and tell a little about my experiences.

As I already said, I made my presentation on January 6, 2023 and although I did not set up the community, everything went well, at that time I arrived at Hive without knowing anything about the ecosystem and I had very little knowledge about crypto and blockchain in general, that did not bother me. It prevented me from making several posts mainly about my cactus collection and some Artificial Intelligence (AI) in which I was also taking my first steps. But what was inevitably going to happen happened as I was not well prepared, plus the major internet connection problems made me end up giving up. There I decided that I had to study and prepare myself better to return to Hive one day.

In a failed attempt to return in June I made several @actifit reports but between a new job I started and several other changes in my life, I decided to postpone my return a little longer and do it in the best way and as prepared as possible, so I made a small but intensive study plan about the ecosystem and approached the @hivecuba group on Telegram to clarify doubts. There I received a lot of support and a month later I returned to publishing on Hive with a publication in which I announced my return.

In the following month I was making posts more and more often and with better results, all within the @hivecuba community, until "snooping" a little in the frontend of @leofinance I discovered that I could add colors and stylize the fonts in the post and threads from its frontend, so I decided to make my first publication in that community, which to this day is my publication that has contributed the most financially to me and is where I earned my first $LEO tokens.

From that moment on I began to be more interested in @leofinance and I made several incursions, some better than others. I must say that without the help and guidance of @crptogeek I would have given up on publishing in that community, but he explained the rules well and how to make threads in Twitter and the threads on @leofinance so that my publications reached more people and could be taken into account by the curators.

Little by little I fell in love with this wonderful community and I published more and more frequently in it, this added to the lack of success of some of my publications in the Spanish-speaking communities made me decide to publish permanently on @leofinance in which I felt like at home, although I always looked towards @hivecuba in which I published sporadically, but I always said that it was my favorite community and which can always count on my unconditional support.

Publishing on @leofinance was a little demanding given the characteristics of the posts, they are in English and my native language is Spanish, although that has helped me raise my level in that other language, adding the terms of @leoglossary was quite a challenge. challenge, I spent a lot of time on all this, so I started to think of a way to save all that time and that was when, despite not being a developer or having much knowledge, I created LeoFlow, a simple tool that helped save a lot of time by adding the terms of @leoglossary to the posts. Even though a large number of people do not use it, I am satisfied that it makes the work of those who do use it easier. Currently its development is on pause but it is still online and working and I do not rule out continuing to add functions in the future.

The constant publications on different topics have made me increasingly demanding with my preparation and constantly studying. It has also made me meet wonderful people who have helped me improve, whether through advice, instructions, support and not only within Hive, so I have to mention some of those who have most influenced my time in this ecosystem. In my first steps, @manuphotos was key, who gave me a lot of knowledge and support, I also have a lot to thank @crptogeek, without his help, advice and teachings I don't think I would have gotten here today, I also have to make a mandatory mention of @taskmaster4450 and @eddiespino who have helped me in key moments and have encouraged me to move forward and improve every day. Thank you all very much for forcing me to improve.

I also want to talk about how much Hive has helped me and I'm not just talking about growing as a person and developing skills, but it has been a great relief for my economy, everyone knows the situation our country is going through. A few months ago I felt the need to start taking the liquid part of my author rewards since the salary was not paying the bill. I was able to build a wall and make other repairs in my house that without that income from Hive I would not have been able to afford for a long time.

For all this I have tried to make Hive reach more people and although I have managed to get a few interested in starting in our ecosystem, only 2 have achieved continuity within the blockchain, they are @luisdey and @leisasa, the others have not been able to have the same continuity although they express that they do not want to leave Hive.

To finish, I would like to comment on a series of objectives or goals for my second year at Hive. This year I have decided to get closer to the Hispanic communities, I want to share more with these communities with which I have interacted little. I also have the goal of getting a “job” within Hive, I don't care if it is voluntary, I want to delve deeper into this ecosystem and I think that would be a good step. I want to get at least 3 people to join Hive and achieve success and continuity. Those are some of my objectives and others that are already in development but it is not my place to mention them.

Well friends, this has been my journey this year through this great ecosystem that is Hive, although I have not achieved everything I wanted and I have not been able to participate as much as I would have liked, I think it has been a quite positive year and it drives me. to have a second best year.
