My Hive Goals 2024 - 16.01 Update

The first bi-weekly update

As I mentioned in my post on January 2, I'm not going to write about every token every week, hence the bi-weekly updates. Therefore this first update is going to be one after two weeks but from next week it will be bi-weekly posts, including monthly updates on the chosen tokens for that week. I hope I can manage to keep that up as I think weekly is a bit much to check everything, some weeks there may be little to share and I don't like to write anything if that's the case.

$LEO

Let's start with $LEO, two weeks ago, I had 214.874 LEO and I delegated that to my @thisismylife.leo alt account because I could already predict a very low VP if I were to vote everything with my main. The day after I delegated, I won a month of 2500 LEO delegation by @beststart so now I actually mostly use these because they were delegated to my main. As I was recovering from low VP, I upped my HP by leasing a few thousand, making it possible to throw more votes and hopefully from these days I will see a better curation come in my wallet in LEO tokens.

I also joined the first LPUD of the year, by staking 150 $LEO yesterday. I plan on joining every month to build my stake towards my first goal of 1000 LEO.

+156.999 $LEO in the last two weeks.

The 2500 $LEO is the delegation I can enjoy a few more weeks, which is great :)

$ZING

I had a plan of adding liquidity to the ZING:SWAP.HIVE pool and earn more $ZING this way. I did this every day until I decided that I wanted to use my HP differently and just buy the ZING instead. I think I will do better buying bits of ZING from my HP lease delegations then just getting a few ZING every day from the liquidity pool.

All Hive that I pulled out of the pool was used to buy ZING and both added to the stake, giving me a current total of:

+1975.96 $ZING in the last two weeks.

So right now I'm at 75% of the first goal I set for ZING, and with some luck in the next update on ZING I will be able to set a new goal.

HSBI Shares

Now this was not included in my initial goals for Hive this year but that's because I totally forgot about them. When I was reminded again that I could transfer my old account's shares to my new account and even receive the votes that I'd been missing all these years, I decided to try to get into my old account again. Luckily, I succeeded and I was able to enjoy my first batch of old shares.

I'm still waiting on those from the other platform but there is an issue with that so it may take a bit more time.

I set a first goal of 500 HSBI shares (and taking it one step at a time after each goal) and I noticed I could get there quite fast if I were to delegate some of the delegations that were about to be returned. I hope that by the next update I can say I passed the first goal and move on to the second.

For now I set a goal for weekly accumulation and I'm hoping to surpass it because I love to get ahead of the end goal a bit so that when life is tough, I don't have to worry too much catching up on things.

Conclusion

I think I have not done bad at all in the past two weeks, although I have not focussed on the Tipping tokens yet these weeks. The HP leasing was more important as I wanted to hand out more votes that meant something thanks to the LEO delegation. I will probably keep doing that though, but let's see in the next update when I talk about my HP progress as well.
