HBD Savings Report - January 2024

A new year, time for a change!

First, let me wish you a happy new year again, in case you didn't read my post yesterday. I hope everyone will be able to fulfil their dreams and stay healthy this year. But also focus on growth, not just financially. I know that I put my money where my mouth is by setting things in motion last week to finally work on getting rid of traumas. I have been experiencing and knowing for years now that no matter how good things go emotionally and financially, there is just a small thing needed that triggers me to fall out of place completely and lose all my focus until I'm ready to let go of the entrapment in my head again.

So for me personally, 2024 starts with the knowledge that I finally loved myself enough to work on that, even though I've been fighting against it and getting through it by myself for years. I feel that I need to clear some blockages that prevent me from getting further and with the appointment soon in the pocket, I feel I headed off with a good start this year.

Financial growth

My personal development and financial growth is heavily connected to my mental state of mind and with some ghosts from the past hunting me the past months, I sadly have not been able to come much further but planning things and waiting until I feel it's time to push things further. With a lot of money spent in the past months due the the unplanned move to a new home, savings were empty and I already put us back on a tight budget as my goal is to get these filled up asap.

In these times of financial difficulties, I'm more than happy to be able to save a bit on Hive in HBD savings because as I mentioned in the previous month, the HBD savings will most likely need to be taken out by March to cover for the yearly car insurance now that I had to empty that whole savings pot for furniture in our new home. In the end, it's ok because even though it cost us more than I hoped, our lives became so much better after moving, I feel happier here and I feel gratitude every day. This is worth it!

Keep stacking

The last weeks I've been leaving a bit of HBD aside without putting them into savings because I know my renewal for Inleo premium is due in a few days and I thought I'd stop adding HBD at 600 to see how much I'd be able to claim at the end of the month. I surely like seeing what I see!

Once the premium is paid, I will probably go back to putting most into savings because it will make the interest grow and by doing so, I may be able to leave some in savings in March, instead of taking everything out. This is my goal, to not fully start over. I will see if I can make it happen, it will depend on if our car needs repairs at the annual MOT. Fingers crossed the car flies right through it!

HBD savings growth

Last month, I ended with 563.299 HBD in savings:

Today it's claim day and this was my interest waiting to be claimed:

So last month I had 8.817 HBD to be claimed, and this month it's already 9.54 HBD, great! Next month will surely go beyond the 10 HBD which is great.

January starts the month with a new total in savings:

InLeo Premium sub

This time I won't take out 10 HBD for the Inleo sub but already have those liquid, which I plan on having every month. I yet have to review if it was really worth paying for, but I'm going to give it a bit of time to see if it's a good investment. For now I say, renew for sure.

I've been trying to get my posts on Twitter in the requested thread format by @leofinance and will continue to do so from now on, this is something I started with last week only so let's see how it goes.

Daily posts and Hive tutorials

I'm really going to try to post every day this year, at least I didn't fail on day 1 :) to keep it up I surely have to make time once a week to prep a few posts for the days that I'm not feeling like writing, which happens regularly. I think if I do that every week, I should be able to get something out daily.

I'm going to see if I can start writing on my hive-tutorials account in the next weeks to write content to guide newbies. Something I've decided on months ago when I created the account. The thing is, I plan on actively onboarding more people but I just can't get myself to do it now when the mind is overloaded and I can't properly explain Hive in a few hours to someone. It takes too much time and energy and to assist myself and the newly onboarded members in the future, I decided to create tutorials about anything on Hive to build a good pile of resources all bundled on one account rather than in between my other content.

I won't make any promises when I start, I will most likely prep 5-10 guides before starting to publish first but the intention is definitely to start it soon. I've been trying to get my daughter's tutor onboard since she started with us last year but I can't find the energy to explain it in person. This will help me get her onboard.

Anyway, that's all for today, hopefully you've been stacking your HBD too!
Happy HBD stacking and see you next month with another update :)
