Brave is probably one of the best projects in all of crypto backed with a solid team and founder. I have loved using it for the majority of my browsing... The caching can be a bit of a pain with building websites, but overall it's the best browser experience out there. I actually have one of the limited edittion copper coins that Sampson had minted a couple of years ago. And yeah at that small of a hold in the market, they have a TON of room to grow! All of my websites are Brave verified websites that serve up Brave ads!

Agreed it is one of the best projects out there for sure! It has blocked so many ads on desktop and mobile, everyone should be using Brave. The way they are building the ecosystem for a more trusted ad network is brilliant.

lol it's one of the shitiest but because most crypto user are more than idiots low iq trend followers, muppets to be, they don't even know that google is still feeded with brave (check dissenter or icecat or waterfox) and that having to have ID associated to whitedraw is totally in line with the tyranical view of silicon valley. are you bots or only low iq? maybe both.

You don't have to be insulting. The uphold wallet is just like any other exchange wallet, doesn't bother me. Hope you have a better day and please take that energy to Twitter or some place that actually likes negativity.

I forget. Why do we want advertisements built into our browsers, on top of all the other advertising on the internet already?

Because you cannot trust the links that random banner ads give you. Brave will strip the malware and spyware out of the web page before it even loads, reducing your bandwidth. You can choose to remove ads completely, or allow them for BAT rewards, and their trusted ads go over top of the unsafe/removed ads.

Maybe I wasn't clear.
Why do we want more advertisements? Do advertisements help the user in some way?
I realize advertisements in general can be dangerous, but what I'm asking is what are the benefits of more ads? You seem to think there is an upside somewhere.

There are many benefits of advertising, for the publisher and the consumer, but if you prefer no Ads then Brave will let you can turn them completely off. My point is that Brave is offering choice to the user, whereas most browsers simply leave you open to trackers and ads from third parties. At least they are building a solution for the old banner-ad network from Web1.0 . If you have something you want to promote, you can do it as a Brave Advertiser. You can even recieve tokens for viewing them on this new advertising mechanism, so that is an incentive for the user also. Having a choice is what I like about it.

I've had it on for almost a year now. I don't think I've seen a single advertisement that interested me so far. It's basically just spam, and in my way. The upside is supposedly money. People were (and still are) claiming "I make hundreds a month just browsing as I normally do!" but after almost a year of full-time Brave usage (a good 8 hours every day), I'm at 70 USD worth. And without giving up my privacy I can't really access it anyway.
But yeah, choice is a good thing.
