I introduce you to Havana

Good morning friends! I'm totally new to this community, although I had already joined some time ago, I hadn't posted because I wanted to share with y'all as much information and images as possible about my city. How about if I give you a tour?

Well, first of all, my name is Eddy Campos and I'm originally from the capital of Cuba, Havana, which is a tropical city where heat predominates and cold is scarce. My city is a province that is made up of fourteen municipalities with different cultures and ethnicities, being Havana a place in the world that is like travelling back in time, as the architecture of the buildings, cars and roads seem to be taken from the 20th century.

The monument that most characterises this city is the Capitol, which is a very similar imitation of the White House in the United States, being one of the most important constructions in the country. It is well protected by the government authority, in order to keep its installation and perimeters as intact as possible, because it is a cultural heritage that has been consistent over time and also represents an important historical era after its emergence in our nation.

Havana is mainly an influential tourist attraction city characterised by its landscapes overlooking the sea from the bay from where you can see several areas of the capital. Here, the violence rate is well below 5%, making it a highly recommendable place to live in; that feeling of being able to go out on the street without fear of mass assault, armed robbery or bombings sets it apart from other cities in the Caribbean and Latin America, although this does not mean that you should be totally careless.

Havana maintains that colonial culture in the enviroment, where you can appreciate streets that are not completely asphalted and are dominated by the rocky and overwhelming soil of two centuries ago. This is a good thing, as it allows us to experience a walk that brings us closer to when men and women still rode horses.

The most striking thing is undoubtedly the style of the bodywork, as I said, to see a car from the year 1950 driving on the streets just like that is not seen every day, although friends, I would like to comment you that here it's something normal. This doesn't either mean that there are not also modern cars, but they are the fewest.

It also has a tunnel that connects the East to the West, across the bay, serving as an underwater bridge for quick transfer from one municipality to another. Havana is full of beautiful places to visit, enjoy and experience, which can be categorised as a tropical paradise where Latin and Caribbean vibes flourish and stand out for their splendour. Have you ever visited this beautiful city yet? If you have, please share your experience with me, I'd love to read about it.

Havana is very beautiful. Old Havana with its renovated buildings, the Cathedral, the Plaza de Armas, then Vedado with its ramp, beyond the Plaza de la Revolución, on the other side El Cristo looking out over the Bay or listening to the 9 o'clock cannon shot. Thanks for sharing your photos for those of us who are not habaneros.
