Stuck in the VS Code Abyss: A Coder's Plea for Help

Learning to code can sometimes be stressful, especially when you do not have the right resources. In the process of learning code, I get stuck, and I try to find some way to get past it. I sometimes make use of some AI, like ChatGPT and some sites that help me analyze codes, which makes it easy for me to learn. When I started learning, it was going well, but now it's a bit complex for me because I keep having issues with my VS Code on my system.

Some days back, I was on my system, and I was using VS Code, and I saw that I had lost some commit messages, which I had done, and I don't know what has happened. I tried updating my VS Code by downloading the latest version of VS Code. After installing the latest version of VS Code, I tried launching it, and I went to the extension panel just to see that all my extensions were gone and nowhere to be found.

The new commit messages I saw in the new VS Code install were not committing, and I think that was because I deleted a folder that holds those commit messages. After going through all the processes, I was able to commit the new messages and synchronize them.

After I finished this part, I then went to install the live server so that I would be able to continue my learning, but while trying to download and install, I got this error message saying I couldn't install the live server extension. This has been an issue I have been facing for days now, and it seems I can get the hang of it. I haven't been able to do anything serious for a day because of this issue, and it has really affected my learning.

I would probably decide to share it here if I got a solution from my fellow developers here. Likewise, I really hope to get this done in due time and get back to work because it feels as if I have been sidelined for days now. I would be glad if I could get a solution to this as soon as possible. Thanks in advance for helping out.
