From Broken Appliance to Rekindled Flame: A DIY Repair Journey.

It is true what they see: that what you know how to do will surely proclaim you to the world. I post about some of the things that I fix, and this happened to be a skill that I learned from my uncle some years ago. While I was learning, I never thought I would be able to do things this way because it was never teaching me but taking me and knowing whenever he had work to do, and I believe learning shouldn't be sitting in front of you; instead, if you really want to learn something new, you are to learn it yourself from anyone, and no one will sit you down to do that.

Some days ago, A friend came to me and was explaining how she has been unable to use an electric cooker for some time, and when she told me, I asked some questions about it and told her to bring it when I have gotten the solution or know what was wrong with the cooking device.

Today, after coming back from lectures and resting, I decided to check it out and find out what was wrong initially with it because I haven't touched it since the day she brought it. I then opened it with my screwdriver, which has different sizes, and it wanted a star screw like we all know but an Allen type of screw. When I finally loosened the back, I checked to see what might have gone wrong, and I noticed one side of the connector got burned with the wire.

I shared this in the video above. I had to lose and cut the condemned part of the wire and add another part of it to the wires, and then I used my black tape to hold these wires together to avoid shock. About two of these connectors had faults, but she was not affected, and the wires didn't get burned more than expected. It would have been more than just burning alone; it would have injured someone.

After doing this, I packaged it back and plugged it into a light source, and it worked immediately. The source of light that was supplied at the moment when I was doing this was very low, and it would not allow the heat to show in the face of the electric cooker. It feels good to repair spoiled things and bring them back to life.
