My Traditional Recipes: The Advanced Jollof Rice with Plantains I Made.

Hello, everyone, and my friends in the foodie community. Today is another great day, and I am so happy to learn something new, which I will be sharing with you all. What am I sharing? It's jollof rice made in an advanced way, like the other ways of making jollof which are concoctions, but I accompanied it with plantains.

So a friend made the jollof rice some days ago, and I really loved it, so I decided to learn how it was prepared, but this time I will be the one to prepare it myself because it was just explained to me. Now I have another way to make jollof rice.

What are the ingredients needed to make this?

  1. Rice
  2. Onions
  3. Pepper
  4. Groundnut oil
  5. Seasoning

Now to the procedures;

  1. Get your rice after getting the amount you need.
  2. Add a little salt to make the starch from the rice wash away.
  3. Get a pot and boil a little water. After the water is hot, pour it into the plastic where you have the rice and use it to rinse the starch away.

4 . Grind the pepper and the onion together and leave them aside.
5 . Get a pot you will use to cook the jollof rice, ignite a fire in any medium you are using to cook, place the pot on it, and add groundnut oil to it.
6 . Allow the oil to get hot a bit, and then pour the grinded pepper into the pot. Add a little onion to the pot for sweetness, add seasoning, and add a little bit of water to allow all the ingredients to cook well.

7 . Leave it for about 5 minutes, then cover the pot.
8 . After you have done all these steps, add the rice to this mixture.
9 . Get a turning stick or a cooking spoon to mix them thoroughly.
10 . Add some water that you know will be enough to make the rice soft. The water must be too much so that the rice will be able to dry easily.
11 . After some minutes of cooking and the water in it almost drying up, I diced some onions and some tomatoes in it and then mixed them together.

12 . Leave it for some time and allow it to dry well. Then your jollof rice is ready, and for the plantains, that is very easy to make. Get the plantain and the oil to be used. Slice the plantains and pot them into the hot oil that has been placed on the fire, and allow it to be done for some time.
