Making History and Leaving a Lasting Impression In a Musical Concert.

What would it feel like to go to a place where a lot has been expected and you were able to pull the crowd and then show to the whole congregation that you truly are what they have been saying about you? Music, as I do say, has a lot of ways in which it can proclaim anyone who does it with a good mind and with a pure motive.

It was another time out with the guys last night when we went to the celestial church for a musical night concert, which was not supposed to be honored by the team because we are students and lots of people have gone to their various houses considering we are now on holiday. This was a big issue for us because we felt there were no people who could easily fit into the places that were left.

Although, we got this invite very early, even before we started our examination, this has given us a head start that we were going to miss, not knowing some that promised to be available won't be. The organizers of this musical concert are the ones also anchoring a musical competition, which I sometimes spoke about here, and truly, they expected more than enough from us because of the ministration they have seen us do.

To cut a long story short, it was deal day last night and we reached out to as many people as we could as the team that we are, and some were available to represent our team. Our transportation to and fro was funded by the invitee and we had no choice but to decline their invitation, even if we wanted to, because this has kept us on the verge of just having to go, considering different factors.

We got to the venue of the occasion and it was quite early, but they started late due to the settings of the musical instruments to be used. After some time, the program started and the host choir performed. It was an awesome one, and after a series of ministrations, we were called upon to do our thing. But in the rules they gave, they said they wanted every music that would be sung to be a pure gospel music and strictly gospel music.

Then we started with a classical music, which we were bred for, but this time we made it a classical music with a slow beat and a slow tempo that people could relate to, and after presenting the classical music for some minutes, we proceeded to different high life music while still sticking to the plan. When we noticed the atmosphere and saw that most people there were of a certain age, we then changed the style of music to the old school music which will soothe them.

After using the time given to us and being expected to leave the stage, the anchor came and said we were ordered to use an additional 5 minutes, which was given to us several times for about 3 times, and in total, it was 20 minutes we used, if not more, because they were all engraved with the sound of the music.

After we finally left the stage and went out of the podium, the host came to us to appreciate what we had done and even be happy because we are student and he was also a student and understood how challenging it was for us to come that far. He prayed for everyone and also advised us as students, and after all, he requested that we come for the grand finale of their program, which is on Sunday, and also promised to give everyone a gift for coming because he was really amazed.

We were super honored and happy to be able to make history, just like one of my friends said. History is what we are meant for and we are always having it in mind to make our team proud anywhere we go and also make ourselves proud and make history that others will live to continue to build when we are not there anymore.
