A Homely Feast of Rice and Plantains with Stew.

Hey food lovers, I made another food recipe today that I want to share with us all, and the food is rice and plantains with stew. This happens to be one of my favorite foods, but it has been a while since I took it, and so I decided to share it today when I prepared it.

Ingredients

  1. Rice
  2. Plantain
  3. Pepper
  4. onion
  5. groundnut oil
  6. seasoning
  7. Salt

How it was made.

1 . I got a clean pot, added some water to it, and placed it on a source of heat. Wash the rice about two to three times to remove the starch and pour it into the boiled water.
2 . Cover and allow it to boil for about 15 minutes, and then it is done. Get a basket to pour the cooked rice into to allow the water to drain from it and make it dry.

3 . After that, take the pepper together with the onion and grind to prepare the pepper.
4 . Get another empty pot, add a little ground nut oil to it, place it on fire for a few seconds, and then pour the ground pepper into it.
5 . Add a little salt and other seasonings to taste.

6 . Cover it and allow it to steam together. After about 5 minutes, it's ready.
7 . For the plantains, I sliced them and added a little salt.

8 . Get a frying pan, add some oil to it, allow it to be hot for some time, and start adding the sliced plantains to it gradually.
9 . After it's done on the fire, get a clean plait to put it.

After all these steps, the food is done and ready to be served. Here is a picture of the final process of what I just explained and the final result.

This is a simple dish, of course, but fried ripe plantains are my absolute favourite.
This sounds like a great combination too:)

You're very welcome. I'm on holiday in a town with lots of West Indian and African shops, in the UK. You've reminded me to check them out for some plantain:)

Yeah, yeah.😄😄😄😄 I am glad I made you remember that. But also remember to buy them in masses, and remember to invite me when you are making the dish, so I can have a taste of your nice delicacy.☺️☺️☺️

What an interesting dish, especially in the plantain part. But it looks yummy, rice ia life so I'll surely eat that with rice too (。♡‿♡。)

Alright will take that into consideration. Thanks so much. But I have a little question about this post you shared that talks about the measurements, If I don't have the scale to get measurements, what can I do about that??
