Sam Altman, ChatGPT's CEO Sacked For Incompetency And Poor Leadership?

Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI and the creator of ChatGPT has just been sacked and is no longer in charge of making decisions for the famous AI brand. Yesterday, the board of directors finally reviewed his performance and allegations of incompetency against him which resulted in majority of the board supporting that he should be sacked. There were reports of the tech guru not carrying other members of board along in his decisions which in their opinion is a bad trait and is not right for the growth of the company.

Well, Sacking or firing the CEO or initial owner of a company isn't something new, especially with very big companies with a many stakeholders and board of directors. As the saying goes, there is no smoke without fire and since a vote was made by the board, there's a high chance Sam Altman was actually incompetent with some of his duties as the CEO particularly with the main reason being that he wasn't carrying along other board members in his decisions and didn't lead so well.

Being sacked as the CEO doesn't mean he's no longer with ChatGPT, he's still stakeholder and a core member of the board, however, he currently doesnt run the company and can no longer make decisions for OpenAI.

ChatGPT remains the world's biggest and most renowned AI brand and with all of these, I believe it is headed in the right direction. Perhaps, in the future, Sam may be reinstated as CEO, and maybe not. But for now, I anticipate some current changes due to the change of power and authority within the firm and I'm hoping all of the new decisions made would lead the firm in the right direction.
