LeoGlossary: We Are Going To Expand It Into Spanish

I was going to write an article about LeoAds but I figured I would not steal the thunder from the Leofinance team. Hopefully people are seeing what was added to LeoThreads and how important activity is. We can now see the direct correlation between threads, replies, clicks, and how much LEO will be bought off the open market.

Once we get the official announcement from the team, then I am sure an article or two will be necessary.

In the meantime, how about an update for LeoGlossary.

Unlike the last time it was mentioned, it is now back online. The alignment problem that was causing the application error was resolved. This is important since we do not want the search engines scouring 2,900 error pages. We are glad it is resolved.

Therefore, on desktop, you can go back to using the links in your articles. We are starting to see, per LeoAds counters, how important page clicks are. Linking the pages usually requires opening the page, adding another click. If we can get a click through from the article, that is an additional one. In the end, it all adds up.

Another issue is the lack of an edit button on long form posts. We need this to update the pages in LeoGlossary, especially the Main Menu page. Therefore, it makes no sense to attempt to do this through another UI. We want to give Leofinance as much credit as possible.

LeoGlossary In Spanish

We have a nice Spanish community forming on Leofinance. Threads is full of people posting in that language. We also see long form content coming from areas such as Venezuela. Therefore, it is helpful for LeoGlossary to expand.

In speaking with @tsunsica, she asked about the prospects of getting what is created duplicated in Spanish. This is something that we will do. Therefore, at some point, LeoGlossary will be rolling out in that language.

Right now, we haven't discussed exactly how we will do it. Nevertheless, the information on LeoGlossary will be translated into Spanish.

This is important for a number of reasons:

  • it adds more pages to Leofinance
  • more pages means more clicks, more ad revenue
  • there are many terms that might not translate well and require more explanation in the native language

This will be done out of its own account. At some point, we will seek to get this tied to the UI if possible.

Catering to those who natively speak other languages is important. LeoGlossary is an educational tool in addition to being a link generator. Therefore, it is crucial that the information be in a manner that people can understand.

Over the next few weeks, we will be working out the details and developing a road map. Right now, it is in very rough form. That said, we will be seeking out those who can help with this additional direction.

LeoGlossary in Spanish; who would have thought?

Leofinance keeps expanding and evolving.

I am excited about this. I can't wait to see the implementation. Truthfully, the glossary will be evolving.
