LeoGlossary: A Resource To Use

LeoGlossary is one of the most valuable aspects to the Leofinance platform. This might seem a bit over the top at first but, by the end of this article, my position will be clear.

For those unaware, LeoGlossary is a database of financial, investing, and cryptocurrency terms. There are over 2,900 in there at present. We are awaiting the edit button to expand it further. Nevertheless, a lot that is contained already has great value.

In the past we discussed LeoGlossary as a way to create internal links. We also covered the idea, if Leofinance.io can improve its SEO, having LeoGlossary rank in some search engines to aid in the delivering of traffic.

All of these are still valid. Yet, there is another use case that is overlooked.

LeoGlossary As An Explanation

We had someone on threads asking about the Leoverse. This person was asking about Leothreads and what this was all about.

Here is the thread and the questions asked:

This is a prime example of what commonly happens. A kind hearted threader was perfectly willing to add a couple threads, providing some information. However, not much was answered.

Yet, if we look at LeoGlossary, we see a treasure-trove of information.

For example we have:

Then we have a page that has terms applicable to Leofinance:

Perhaps the person is new to Hive. As we all know, this place can be overwhelming.

Fortunately, LeoGlossary has a solution.

We even have a list of blockchain and cryptocurrency terms:

Notice how many of the basics are covered.

Opportunities To Show What We Have

This was a prime example to showcase some of what is on here. How often do we see someone asking about Hive or Leofinance? A bigger question is how often do we direct them to LeoGlossary?

The answer is likely never.

Another question is why not?

Do people think that I am personally benefiting from this? I receive no compensation for the LeoGlossary project. This was mean to be something for the community that an on-chain resource.

You would think with the upcoming ad revenue mechanism starting, people would be interested in generating more page views.

One of Leofinance's main objectives has to be a resource center. This is what makes something like Coingecko so popular. It has information that people return to daily. This is what Leofinance is after.

Therefore, when you see someone on Twitter or Facebook ask what Hive (or Leofinance) is, do you drop a link to the pages above? These pages fully detail what is taking place.

People seem to talk a lot about the need for marketing. Of course, talk is cheap. Here is a way to market Leofinance. Take one of the links and drop them when people have questions. Steer them to Leofinance. Let them see what is here.

At the end of the day, most will read what is on the page and leave. That is who we do things online. There will be a few, however, who do start sifting through. This is where we need to focus some attention.

In the end, this is a community project. If people are not even willing to the do the basics like drop a link when someone is asking for information, then what is the future of the community?

Everyone with Leo Power should be looking for every opportunity to promote Leofinance. This is how success is achieved.
