My Favorite Quote and Being Amazing || #3

Back at it again, trying to curb my perfectionism and trying not to overthink it 😅
Blogging challenge #3 will be all about my favorite quote. Have a cup (fill in your drink of choice) and let's get to reading (writing in my case 🙃).

If you’re always trying to be normal you will never know how amazing you can be - Maya Angelou

The reason why I resonate with and chose ms. Maya Angelou's quote "If you’re always trying to be normal you will never know how amazing you can be", is because I know now how amazing I can be. I used to think myself to be very plain and normal; in today's age they would say I'm very "basic". I used to put myself in the background; even during dance classes; and made it a habit to hide behind my friends and let my little light be dimmed in the process. I was being comfortable to be honest.

Then one day (or more days) I woke up and realized that by being comfortable, my ability to grow and get even better in the things I love would stagnate. I needed to push myself and go beyond my comfort zone if I ever wanted to be the very best version of me that I could be. So I'm trying out new things, learn new skills and hone those I already have. I recognize the abilities I already have and know those would help me in getting even better in the goals I am pursuing. Ms. Angelou's quote helps me envisioning my amazing self and keeps me focused on my life's goals.

So I will keep this quote in my mind all through life, because life's a journey and I will keep shining my light.

That's it for Day 3. See you on the next one! 🤓

I love listening to her talk. So calming and inspirational. Very powerful quote. I think we all try to dim our lights a bit as it is comfy there, shyness and sometimes even to just not make anyone feel inferior. But let that light shine. Still waiting on a dance video from you:)

The way she makes her life's lessons get through to me in one word: powerful.
And indeed the calmness in which she does it, very inspiring.

Yeah, I know a short video should be uploaded sometime with some kind of post, even if it's for a minute hihi
I should get to choreographing 😅

Normal is overrated

We don´t need to be normal, or try to fit in some stupid culture.. we just need to believe in ourselfs and follow our dreams.

I had to learn that over the course of my life. Didn't really fit in anywhere when growing up, until some ten or more years ago I realized that by just being me people would accept me and that's it's ok to shine bright 😊

There's brightness for everyone... we don't need to settle for what everyone else says.

Btw, check out my mention... you missed an ¨e¨.

Indeed, we have got to do what's best for us.
Ok, thanks for the heads up; will correct it 👍
