Almost Losing My Life

It's almost the end of the month of August and I shall have more freedom starting next September. No more excessive overtime and sleepless nights until next year. However, for the remaining days of August, I still need in turbo mode in rushing my clients' accounting tax return which is due this month.

Meanwhile, I almost lost my life last week due to a car accident. It happened in this ghost month and around 5.30 a.m. which my Sister and I drove back home from my workplace. The person who caused this accident was a male youngster who seemed to have just got his driving license.

This guy drove his large 4x4 car quite fast and did not stop when the red traffic light was on his side. On the road, when my Sister drove her car to the other section after a green signal traffic light, this guy drove from the other side almost smashed our car on the passenger side (which I was sitting on). Luckily, my Sister was able to pick up fast for drive fast forward to the front to avoid this mishap. In the end, we were able to escape from getting injured from this event, but my Sister's car was still getting damaged.

We glad that this person did not hit and run after this event. He wait us and we negotiate in how to settle this matter. Since he still holding a probation driving license, we just settled the car repairing matter without calling for police to verify this accident for claming car insurance. This guy responsible to bear the cost in repairing the damage on my Sister's car.

We continue our negotation by phone messaging afterward as we were rushing to do our own thing during that time. We took 1 day in bargaining on the car repair cost and in which workshop to send my Sister's car for repair. As a result, we just send my Sister's car to my friend's car workshop for repair as there offer the cheapest prices.

During the conversation with this guy, my Sister keep on complaining him that if she did not try to drive fast and avoid his car, there might have someone else life lost (which is me). After that, this guy keep on apologising for many days and ask for forgiveness from my Sister and including me. In addition, he stop barganing the car repair cost and transfer the fund via online banking to us immediately. He also admitted that during that car accident event, he in a sleepy mode while driving.

It tooks 4 working days my Sister car done repair.

After this event especially in this ghost month, even though we still did overtime at midnight, my Sister and I try to back home on the day time.

Guess what. In my country, people tend to buy lottery on the car plat number that in car accident. My Sister's 4 digit number was in first price reward on the chart. However, the number is in backward. Therefore, my parent and Sister who got bought the lottery had lost their investment.
