NO LAUGHS...TREAT AS URGENT

So I had the craziest dream last night. I could not sleep after that and I thought to pen it down so I don't forget it. Reading through it later in the morning and I laughed so hard.

Mind you, this was not what I had wanted to write on but that can wait. This is urgent.

In that dream, a masquerade was chasing me. There was a considerable distance between us, I suppose. But once I turned to confirm it, I tripped and fell and the maaherade caught up to me.

My heart was pounding and in my mind(in that dream), I was finished. You'd expect everything from then to go the way we know it does, yunno...the masquerade flogging me silly and all. But it didn't.

The masquerade casually comes to me, streches his hand to me which I take and helps me to my feet.

"I'm Christian," he says in impeccable English. I have my eyes and mouth open in both awe and shock. What ancestor speaks English, proper one at that? What one???

Before I make to speak, he goes on to explain that he's a Yoruba Oracle but he was posted to Abia State for his (ONS) Oracle national service.

He said the state then posted him to the masquerade department. He mentioned that despite performing at several -about 9 - masquerade festivals, the state had not paid him. And it's been about seven months. And it's getting on his last nerves.

He said I should tell anybody I know, to tell anybody they know, to tell the state to pay him his salary because...hmmm
Hmmm!!!!

That was the last he said before I woke up.

For that, I have been thinking, since elections just happened and I'm certain it's not the new state government officials that's owing him, how do I help?
Going to the former Abia State government will be a waste. Those people just occupied seats...nothing!

I also thought of telling him to tell the members of his masquerade committee to either go on strike or to protest. But there's a problem, how do I see him again in a relaxed atmosphere? No no no...I don't even want to see him.
Besides, this suggestion could go wrong; what if they all come for my head???

Meanwhile, I beg you all, please, whoever is in charge or knows who is in charge of this payment, do the needful.

Even if you don't have regards for your ancestors, have the fear of God. Settle this man.
I don't want to see masquerade ever in my dreams again. Please, pay him up. A labourer is worthy of his wages, right?
Please.

Reason I'm begging now is, cause, should I see him again, I'll introduce him to hive or give him y'all's hive username so he can come for us all.

I don't like anything that will stress me.
