Goals Of Year Past & Year To Come

As the year begins, I have decided to return to Hive this year with a new agenda. I will keep in line with some of my goals from last year, but have come to realize that some what I wanted before is not feasible or realistic for me.

This post will outline my successes from last year as well as my plans & goals for this year.

My First Goal

This is to set myself up for greater success than before. I want to enjoy myself on hive, not feel like I'm working a job. While I still must follow some sort of schedule, it will not be so intense as it was before. While I still have big dreams for what I would like to achieve here on hive, I have to keep myself from being overwhelmed.

My Goals Post

So since I want a lot from hive, it's supposed to be fun to me & not like I took on another job. It took all I had just to mustard up the interest to do my goals & a few other posts that I managed to do lately. The answer to this is to Refocus and make it fun again, & just happen to earn while doing it.

This is what I discovered a few months ago & have been thinking about how I would meet my goals. Of course this won't all happen in just a year, but I have high hopes for this year.

My Tokens Report

This is a portion from last years goal posts that will change for this year. I will report on my tokens of interest here but will not have all these charts on every post. On this post I will include the charts to report the ending of my 2023 goals but in this year I won't give such a long report on my tokens with all the charts & will only include charts that are in reference to what I report on or maybe just in relation to my top goals or something like that, I'm not sure right now but this is basically it.

I want to keep things short & sweet so that it doesn't make feel overwhelmed & like I don't want to post.

INCOME TOKENS & Goals

These tokens I consider the most important tokens since they produce more of other tokens and sometimes Hive. Because I need Hive to buy other tokens my main focus will be on building those tokens that pay me Hive. These are first on my Income goals.

The last few moths I found that there's more to producing income than income tokens. The major thing is to grow my HP much Higher so that I can delegate more since I found that delegating has bought me at 1 hive on a daily basis & that's with my small delegations that we will look at later.

TIPPING TOKENS

I love tipping tokens because most of the time my vote has no value or very little when it does, even less than you get from a tipping token. So as a way to show appreciation for their post or comment I like to add a tip so they get something from me.
I would like to get each token to the highest level for each so that I can tip everything I comment & respond to.

I hope to reach the goal for the maximum amount needed for each token for the maximum tipping allowed.

MINER TOKENS

Miner tokens are good to have as away to earn the regular token. I consider the miner token an income token since they produce more of the standard token.

My Plan here is to grow each of these tokens to at least 10% of my goal for each & if I'm already there for any token is to increase by 5% more. This means I'm gonna have to do more investing.

Rewards Tokens

One of the things about these tokens is that they are more than your average token. Some are multi-functional & have valid use case history & there’s a few that have piqued my interest & I want to support them. Of course this could change in the future but I'll deal with that when it happens.

Of course I will continue to build these tokens. I would like to gain at least 10% of my goal for each. Some of them are also at or over 100%, I will increase the goal.

DELEGATIONS

Delegations is another great way to earn crypto. When you delegate you get dividends usually in the form of the token your delegating to. Sometimes you get Hive, and sometimes you may get another token. It all depends on the token provider, they usually have a post on what they pay or you can always go to the community on discord & ask questions.

Last year I delegated to quite a few initiatives. Most are small delegations, but together they have earned me a nice small passive income of various tokens including Hive, HBD, & swap.hive.

2024

I plan to increase these delegations to build the income earned. Also I would like to at least double my delegations & maybe some even 3 to 4 times what they are now. Also, I'm always looking for other tokens & communities that I can assist their growth by delegating & earning for myself.

This chart will be included in some of my future goals posts, but not every time.

SATURDAY SAVERS CLUB

This has been a good initiative I joined August 2022. It helped me to build my portfolio. This club is a part of the SPInvest project & is a good way to get you to hodl & save your crypto while earning from them.

POWER UP EVERY MONTH HIVE, PIZZA, & LEO

This is the other thing I didn't skip out on last year when things got bad. Powering Hive up every month is something I've been doing for a little more than 2 years now, in September, 2022 I started powering up Leo and then followed that the next month by powering up PIZZA. Powering up is a way to grow your power in these tokens or any token. I have seen my power grow significantly since I started participating in the PUD. I don't power up these tokens until 'Power Up Day' arrives. This way I don't have to buy as much when PUD arrives.

2024 HivePUD, I did power up 50 Hive to meet my monthly goal.

PPUD &LPUD to come. Also this year I will use PGM powerup week to grow my PGM portfolio.

These are the PUD's that I know about. and would take part in any others if they come across my path, providing it's a token I'm interested in or have a use for it.

My Goals For 2024 with updates from 2023

These are my main goals for me to focus on. This List is a little bigger than usual but it represents what I want and need to get to before my crypto will work for me as hard as I work for it. I realize that these goals may not be fully achieved this year, but this is what I have to work for. I'm sure it will be just like in past years where I complete some goals & unfortunately some goals fall a little short. But the whole point of having goals is to know where you're headed & to help keep you on track to get there.

OTHER PLANS

There are so many things to be a part of on Hive that you can easily take on too much, this has happened to me over the years many times. Whenever something new/new token hit the market I had to get involved. Now that has overwhelmed me & I began to let things slip through the cracks. Things I didn't want to let go of but I was trying to be a part of too much. So in light of that, I have to face reality which is I can't do it all.

I don't want it feeling like work, so now when I feel that way, I may only do what feels like fun or do nothing at all that day. If I'm not having fun with Hive, I'm not doing it. I'm retired & if I can't sit down to my computer & feel enjoyment than I don't need it!

UNWANTED TOKENS

What do you do with something you don't want? Simply put, you get rid of it. My plan was to sell all the tokens that come into my wallet that I have no interest in, but I found other ways around that with some of them. There are tons of them just sitting there & most of them have no value, no use case & a topic I want no part of.
I have managed to unload some of these. In the process I found that a couple of them (like APE) drops into my wallet because of my holdings in income tokens like INDEX, so I just let them buil up til they can get me a little swap.hive for the efforts.
**I also found that some of these tokens could be delegated so I did that. I also unstaked all that were staked so I can sell them.

I will continue as I have with unwanted tokens, stacking, selling or delegating. But only when the return is for a token I do want.

WRITE THOUGHTS & IDEAS MORE IN JOURNAL

I used to use a journal to write down my thoughts & ideas, but lately I haven't been doing that as much. I used to keep my notebook right on my desk open & in front of my computer. While it has been useful, I find that it sometimes gets in the way & move it & still end up with notes everywhere. Now I just try to keep them together in one place.

I will just do what's available at the time & keep notes in one place. I still have many journals & use them occasionally.

Gaming

FULLY DISSOLVE SPLINTERLANDS –

I find that you never can really fully dissolve splinterlands.
I had a plan that didn't turn out to well, I'll be sending them to my grandson, Ryan. I got him on Hive and into the game in 2021 when I spent half the year in Pennyslvainia where he lives. Besides, he understands it better than I do.
He's not as into it as I thought he would be, but I think he just need to understand the value of rewards he's getting by playing & being on Hive.

While this is high on my list and although I want to dissolve the game, I find that it's not that simple. Although I don't play anymore, it plays a part in my portfolio & income on Hive. I do have cards that I rent & will do that until they stop bringing in DEC.

Some time this year I will do a post listing the cards I have & want to sell off. For now, I just continue to collect the rewards of SPT, SPS, Vouchers & DEC that I get.

GET RID OF OTHER GAMES I’M NO LONGER INTERESTED IN

Like DCITY, CRYPTO-BREWMASTER, & a few others, keeping only those that I have actually had the time to play. I also need games that have a type of set-n-forget thing, where I can do some actions and return later to collect & set up again, kinda like Rising Star.

Some games I was playing occasionally ended before I even got to them. Others I don't understand & have to learn. Another thing that slows me down is getting that first payment to even start some games.

I only want to play games that are actually on Hive. I recently started playing a few other games but it's been a slow process for me. This is where I'll be spending a lot of 2024. I like the idea of building my portfolio through game play.

I have been playing RisingStar for as long as I can remember. As for the other games, I just recently signed up for. I'm sure there will be others. I just hope I get to pay the initial fee & learn to understand these games before they do.

BUILD MY RAVEN POSITION

Still working on it in 2024

Raven is a muscian that I have been following and she has a token & often give gifts to her token holders. She is growing and she's doing it right here on Hive. I like to build my holdings of her tokens to about 100 tokens. 

GET BACK INTO CUB LIFE & SPI

Still working on it in 2024

These initiatives I got into way back when & they have been producing very small earnings for me ever since. I had much to learn about them so they ended up being smothered by all the newer stuff.

Unfortunately the time had come and Cub Life (CL) had run it's course& ended last year. SPI drops a little Hive in my wallet once a week just for holding it, so why shouldn't I increase my holdings in SPI.

CTP & LISTNERDS

As I got involved with other things, I let ListNerds fall through the cracks, going to the site once or twice a week instead of daily. It didn't help that the program did some upgrading & in the process I saw my earnings go from the thousands to 100-200 a week, and less if I did almost nothing.

I still try to keep up with CTP & ListNerds, after all CTP is where I got my start with Hive & I learned so much from all of the community.
CTP - this is what bought me to Hive & helped me get to where I am today. It was the teachings of @jongolson, @elianaicgomes, & @blainjones that helped to structure me and keep me up to date on anything crypto in their vessels. They have created several vehicles on Hive that has also helped my growth.

ListNerds - I rarely visit it now but still hold on to the platform. I'm still earning there but don't mail, I have no idea exactly what direction I'm going here. I'm no longer into affiliate marketing but keep up with these things through my connections on hive.

MY SERIES

 Two years ago, as a way to produce content, I developed some series to write/update on a regular basis so that I know that I had a few valuable pieces of content to present you with. I need to work on these series on a more consistent basis, @ least 2 post per month for each series. I also have one I mentioned last year but never started it. **Still haven't gotten to all of them.**

TOKENS IN MY WALLET - Latest post..I may do a post or two this year but really think that this is not something I want to bog myself down with. I may still track my tokens but just for myself.

MY HIVE GOALS – I try Biweekly but haven't been on top of things lately. A lot of changes to be made, trying to refocus things so they can continue to be fun instead of work & leaving me with feelings of being overwhelmed all the time.

I will of course still do goals post cause I like sharing my growth with others. However, I will try to do this on a monthly basis as long as I don't start to feel overwhelmed with try to keep it in my schedule. This is why I will be shorting this post & not have so many charts. I always print out my HE wallet info on the first of the month to keep track, so this info can always be charted at anytime & I won't have the pressure of having to get it done for my posts.

MY JOURNAL TO YOU - Never did start this & instead of making it a regular thing, I will just grab a topic from there now & then.

These were things that became too much for me, so in rethinking things I have to let these take a back seat to things.

Overwhelmed I Refuse To Be!!

 2023 -But it's all about getting to where I want to be. My goals this year are a little different than usual & a result of seeing what's been happening over the past couple of years. These goals aren't just to say what tokens I plan to focus on but pretty much all of what I plan to do on Hive this year. The things I've been doing have been working but very slowly. I need to step up my game.

2024

It may take some time, but I'm in no rush, it's all in the fun & getting there without stress to bring you down. I still want all of the things as before, but I need to take the fun route & not the stress route for the sake of my health.

These last few things on the list, I didn't get to at all last year, but will get to them eventually.

DESIEL POOLS

Learn more about Desiel Pools & what benefit they are to me & possibly start using them. I don't understand all the talk about liquidity, so that's what has me a little confused. I also don't understand what I get out of using desiel pools and how often I get it. It's the little things that has stopped me from doing this, I don't mind a little risk but I like to know what is required of me to do before I dive in. Like once I set it up, when do I return to check it & the possibilities around it.

I'm still in the learning phase of this but getting closer to trying it out really soon. I'll post about it soon, in the next couple of months.

AUREAL - PODCAST APP

Learn more about the app & how to use it. I'll be preparing myself for the 30 day challenge 'NaPodPoMo' (National Podcasting Posting Month) in Nov 2023. I attempted this in 2022  but got caught up cause I didn't know how to use the app. After 3 days I gave up.

Not sure if I even want to do the challenge but still want to learn the app. I'll have to see what my feelings & stress levels are closer to time. A 30 day challenge is always a stressful time although I usually find it fun.

DISCORD

Learn more about the use of discord. For personal use & for the preparation of my own community. I also need to clean up my discord & get rid of some of those groups I am no Longer interested in.

Need to do this for personal use as well. but I learn something new every time I visit.

Definitely will be getting deeper into this & do the cleanup. As much as I love to be on Hive, Discord is a big connection to Hive & it's communities, so I need to use it a little more.

Things I Want, But May Never Accomplish

These are things on Hive that I would like to get into but they require more than I want to give.

WITNESS NODE

Another one of those things I don't understand but hear it's a good thing to do & earn some Hive in the process. So one more thing to educate myself on. Besides, there is a cost involve and I have to know all the details of the cost and the money for starting & keeping it going for at least the first 6 months.

Another thing that sounds like a lot of work, not sure I'm up to this one & not sure if I'll ever do it.

TEAM FUTURE FAITH

This is my community! I have already created the community through PeakD about 2 years ago now. I had lots of thoughts, ideas, & plans but found that there was so much to learn if I planned on running a community. Plus I needed to get a few other people interested that would help me in building the community with task like curating & commenting. And I also needed to decide on what token I would reward with until I could get my own. 

I've been looking at some things & started to have second thoughts about running a community. I don't think I have the time that it takes to run a community. So I don't know if I will make this happen or not.

I have all kinds of thoughts going through my head on this. It's something I really want, but when I look at other communities & see all the work that goes into it, I feel it's more work than I want to deal with in my retirement. I could see this happening but as for now, it's still on the sidelines.

Into a New Year and on to another wonderful year on Hive. This is a look at my going forward this year. I look forward to building more relationships & continuing the present ones. I look forward to seeing you around and connecting with you!!
