Cole Palmer: I am enjoying my game at Chelsea unlike formal club

Cole Palmer, who has scored in two straight games, says he is enjoying life at Chelsea so far and feels that things are beginning to click for him and the club under Mauricio Pochettino. However, he clarifies that he needs to apologise to his manager for an incident that occurred during Saturday's draw with Arsenal.

The Manchester City summer acquisition has had a strong start to his Chelsea career. He scored in back-to-back Premier League games before the international break, once from the penalty spot in a 4-1 victory over Burnley and again to open the scoring in our most recent match, a 2-2 draw with Arsenal. We more than equaled our opponents at Stamford Bridge by applying pressure and bringing the game to them, even though the Gunners are undoubtedly the Premier League's best team right now and have not lost in the league thus far.

Cole Palmer is left with conflicting emotions after the game. He is happy with our effort but sad that we didn't win all three points because Arsenal scored two goals in the final seven minutes to steal a draw. We weren't going to treat them too respectfully because we were at home and in front of our own fans,' the 21-year-old stated. We are aware of their goodness, yet we also possess goodness. We had good play. Though there are certainly many things we can do better, we're moving in the right path.

The results of the last four games show that things are beginning to click, but there is still a long way to go and we must keep moving forward. They're a very good squad, one of the best in the league, and we battled toe-to-toe with them, so clearly we're very upset not to earn the three points. We performed really well, in my opinion, but we were so close to scoring much more. After leading 2-0, it is heartbreaking to lose the three points. We had a great start, so giving up two goals late hurts. We gave up two goals that we had the opportunity to prevent. While there is much room for improvement, there are also advantages. All we have to do is build on those, make an effort to advance, and get going for the next game. The play of Palmer and Conor Gallagher, who combined to play as a pair of deep attackers and put pressure on the Gunners defenders both off and on the ball, was a major factor in our impressive performance against them. Palmer continued, "I learned the day before that I would be playing as a false nine, kind of in the right pocket." After speaking with the manager and learning what he expected from me, I felt confident in my ability to perform as I had previously performed there. I therefore simply sought to turn, get in the pockets, and play properly. In order to play in behind them if they went man-for-man, we just attempted to bring them high and drop.

However, we had some difficulty playing out. We both did, and I believe we more or less balanced each other out. We had a chance to win three points; it was a close game. The Blues' new signing, who said he has been having fun in west London after moving from Manchester at the conclusion of the summer transfer window, put on another outstanding display. I'm in my element at Chelsea. Even when the boys are not on the pitch, every day is enjoyable. I'm like being here since everything seems kind and there's a positive feeling. "I wanted to have an influence, so I came to Chelsea." I'm glad I completed it right away. Bravo to the guys; they're all good, they helped me get settled in and all that, but I just need to keep trying to get better every day and contribute more and more. Palmer acknowledged that not everything had gone as planned and that he had to apologise to Pochettino following an incident that occurred during the Arsenal game.

Fortunately, he and the head coach already have a solid working rapport. While getting a drink, they scored their second goal. Like you, I went to discard the bottle, but I didn't look. It just hit the gaffer and looped very slowly. After the game, I really apologised to him and expressed my regret. I'm hoping he won't leave me for that! We got along great. Every day while training, I attempt to demonstrate my abilities to him. Work hard and merely strive to give him back for all of his faith in us.
