Hello again one and all,

And again we have another lovely day ahead, weatherwise, with temperatures expected to be around 28 degrees C here in the UK. Being humpday there is a plethora of racing action to excite eveyone, with 6 meetings and 43 races, starting with the 1:50pm at Yarmouth, and Hamilton, Scotland closing the day's proceedings with a 9:00pm race.

Recap - Tuesday, 13th June, 2023

No joy for us yesterday, although Spring Fever made a valiant effort, finishing 3/4 of a length behind the winner, and the only real challenger for the victory, having been prominent throughout. Urged on with 2f to go, and joined the leader inside the final furlong. The leader rallied somewhat at that point and did enough to have made all the running, with our selection running on well, but not quite having enough time or energy to over the lead. The rest of the field made up the numbers, finishing 7 lengths and further behind the leading duo.

Tipsters Standings

None of the top 5 hit a winner yesterday, so the status quo remains, with Lee Sobot just a single winner ahead. His selection for today has already been declared a non-runner, so we'll go with the pack of four on six winners behind him once again, for today's attempt to grab some loot.

Started her career with a 5th (of 15) and a 6th (of 7) last month. Latest outing was over this distance at Haydock on good ground 20 days ago. Talented upcoming jockey Billy Loughnane takes to the saddle for this one. Odds of 18-1 (i've seen 25-1 at some bookies) make for a good each-way punt.

He has found success twice so far this year, both times over this distance. Last time out he was a 1/2 length at Nottingham in heavy ground. Today's jockey was on board for both of those victories, and is looking to make it a hat-trick today. Only up 2lb in the handicap ratings, following that win, which should be too much of a hindrance.

2 wins and 3 places in her 7 starts so far. Last time out at Redcar over this distance. She won by a neck, in a field of 8, beating a horse we have previously backed recently Storm Fox. Ridden today by one of the top jockeys on the circuit, so a good plus point there. Only A field of 4 in this today's race so a big challenge ahead.

Magical Maggie : 6yo grey mare

Jockey : Jay Tidball

Three time winner over hurdles, including last time out on her hadicap debut, 18 days at Cartmel. Today's race is a furlong further which pose no problems, and she has been nudged up in the handicap ratings by 2lb. Her regular jockey takes the reins again today, looking for back-to-back success.

That about wraps it up for another day, with 4 potential hopefuls.

Just A Notion is a good shout for an each-way extra bet, and I've done just that, with a different bookie who was offering 25-1 that I just couldn't resist grabbing.
