Early on Thursday, and the UK heatwave continues for another day. 6 meetings again today boasting 44 races, starting out at Newbury for the 1:50pm, and ending at Worcester with the 9:00pm.

Just the one winner from our four bets, yesterday, and at short priced odds-on favourite we didnt get much in the way of decent returns. As a result we have slipped back into the red by a small amount for the month.

Cloverdale broke cleaning from the starting gates, and settled into his stride to track the leading pair. This soon became a leading trio, with our runner relegated to fourth of the five runners. Coming off the turn for home began making headway smoothly up the outside, and into second place inside the 3rd furlong marker. Ridden inside the final furlong making a strong challenge, and ultimately getting up to win in the final stride. Winning distance - Short Head, about as close as you can get! Of our picks we had a second, a third and an unplaced.

Big odds again today, so maybe worth an each-way punt as a back up.

Beaten into 2nd place on last outing, 3 days ago at Lingfield over a mile and a half. Was a winner the previous outing, 4 days earlier at Yarmouth. Both runs were with today's jockey on board.
