Yesterday our pick Goodie Two Shoes, finished 3rd of the 17 runners, 6.5 lengths off the pace of the winner.

There were a total of 12 winning tipsters yesterday, however, and I managed to prune the list of potential bets down to seven, thanks to a none runner and several tipsters having a selection in the same race. One such race was the 15:00 at Sandown, where three tipsters had a runner as their choice. One tipster Garry Owen just happened to have one of my horses to follow - Heredia - as his pick, so that was the one that the cut.

Cheeky Extra Bet

Success with our pick yesterday with Rock Opera landing a 4th place finish though only just, and netting us a £0.21 profit. Bet was placed at odds of 16/1, and he jumped off at 8/1 giving us a better return for the place.

A winner 7 days ago at Goodwood, over todays distance on soft ground. Going expected to generally good to soft today. Handicapper has lifted his rating by 4lb as a result of his latest victory, which isn't thought will trouble him too much.

Bet Placed 0.5 point each way @ 14/1. unit stake £0.05, total stake £0.10, returns £0.94 for a win
