Lussinpiccolo is the main town on the island of Lošinj, an island in Croatia. It appears to be one of the most populated localities in the coastal-mountain region. It is a town that overlooks the sea and has a natural port.

Lussinpiccolo è la principale località dell’isola di Lussino, un'isola della Croazia. Risulta essere una delle località più popolate della regione Litoraneo-montana. È un paese che si affaccia sul mare e possiede un porto naturale.

In the past Lussinpiccolo was born as a small fishing town and then developed rapidly. The development of the town was due to an excellent merchant class which in a few centuries made Lussinpiccolo a homeland of shipowners. Between the end of the 1700s and the beginning of the 1800s, the Lošinj navy became among the most important in the Adriatic.

In passato Lussinpiccolo nacque come un piccolo paese di pescatori per poi svilupparsi rapidamente. Lo sviluppo del paese fu dovuto ad una ottima classe mercantile che in pochi secoli rese Lussinpiccolo una patria di armatori. Tra la fine del 1700 e gli inizi del 1800 la marina lussignana divenne tra le più importanti dell’Adriatico.

The original name of Lussinpiccolo is Mali Losinj, it is located on the south side of Lussino, in the Augusta Bay. The location itself influenced the increase in popularity of this country. The beginnings of Mali Losinj date back to the 12th century and as we said, the port developed more and more until it became in the 19th century.

Il nome originario di Lussinpiccolo è Mali Losinj, si trova sul lato sud di Lussino, nella baia di Augusta. La posizione stessa influì nell’incremento di popolarità di questo paese. Gli inizi di Mali Losinj risalgono al 12 secolo e come abbiamo detto, il porto si sviluppó sempre di più fino a diventare nel 19esimo secolo.

Lussinpiccolo is today a rather well-known tourist destination and is one of the main tourist destinations on the Adriatic. Ships depart from Italy to Lussinpiccolo throughout the summer. However, this place is known in all circles of European tourism as it is a maritime city that can boast healthy effects deriving from the climate. During walks on its coasts you can see villas and historic buildings with architecture from the mid-1800s or early 1900s.

Lussinpiccolo è oggi una meta turistica piuttosto nota ed è una delle principali destinazioni turistiche dell’Adriatico. Dall’Italia partono navi che portano a Lussinpiccolo durante tutto il periodo estivo. Questo posto è conosciuto comunque in tutti gli ambienti del turismo europeo essendo una città marittima che può vantare effetti salutari derivanti dal clima. Durante le passeggiate sulle sue coste si possono vedere ville ed edifici storici con l’architettura di metà 1800 o inizi del 1900.

The port of Lussinpiccolo transforms into a romantic place in the evening. The evening and sunset give warm colors to this port, giving it a different charm than it usually has during the day. The port is very crowded during summer evenings. In this port there are excellent restaurants where you can eat excellent fish. An evening in this port can turn into a romantic and unforgettable evening.

Il porto di Lussinpiccolo di sera si trasforma in un luogo romantico. La sera ed il tramonto donano colori caldi a questo porto dandogli un fascino diverso da quello che solitamente ha di giorno. Il porto durante le sere d’estate è molto affollato. In questo porto ci sono ottimi ristoranti in cui mangiare dell’ottimo pesce. Una serata in questo porto puó trasformarsi in una serata romantica ed indimenticabile.

In Lussinpiccolo you can take walks along the coast observing a fantastic landscape. There are also shops that rent bikes so you can explore a wider area and see the bay in all its glory. Vegetation and sea are a natural spectacle that Lošinj can boast of having.

A Lussinpiccolo si possono fare camminate sul litorale osservando un paesaggio fantastico. Ci sono anche negozi che noleggiano biciclette per poter esplorare un'area più ampia e vedere la baia in tutto il suo splendore. Vegetazione e mare sono uno spettacolo naturale di cui Lussino può vantare di avere.

Lussinpiccolo has an excellent area overlooking the Adriatic Sea and the places are equipped for both walking and cycling, but there are also other services for water sports. There are areas where you can rent boats, especially canoes, and some areas are used as water polo fields. The water in Lošinj is clean and clear. Sailing or swimming in these waters is a real pleasure.

Lussinpiccolo ha un’ottima area che si affaccia al mare Adriatico e i luoghi sono attrezzati sia per fare passeggiate sia per fare escursioni in bicicletta, ma ci sono anche altri servizi per sport acquatici. Ci sono delle aree in cui noleggiare natanti, soprattutto canoe e alcune zone sono adibite a campi da pallanuoto. L’acqua a Lussino è pulita e chiara. Navigare o nuotare in queste acque è un vero piacere.

Lussinpiccolo, as we have said, is one of the most popular tourist places on the island of Lussino (Croatia). Among the attractions that can be had here there are certainly the natural bays where the water is extremely clear and limpid. The stretches of bays are also accompanied by lush nature, so it is a place where you can spend relaxing days surrounded by nature while staying close to the sea. Near the bays you can find several shops selling snorkeling equipment. In the bays near Lussinpiccolo you can easily find valuable tourist boats.

Lussinpiccolo come abbiamo detto è uno dei posti turistici più conosciuti dell’isola di Lussino (Croazia). Tra le attrazioni che si possono avere qui ci sono certamente le baie naturali dove l’acqua è estremamente chiara e limpida. I tratti delle baie sono anche accompagnati da una natura rigogliosa, quindi è un posto dove si possono passare giornate di relax in mezzo alla natura vicino stando vicino al mare. Nei Pressi delle baie si possono trovare diversi negozi che vendono attrezzatura per fare snorkeling. Nelle baie vicine a Lussinpiccolo si possono facilmente trovare imbarcazioni turistiche di pregio.

Lussinpiccolo is bathed by the Adriatic Sea, its beaches are clean and the water is so clear that you can see the seabed even at several meters of depth. Some bays are suitable for snorkelling. One of the attractions of this place is the possibility of snorkeling even for non-professionals. The equipment can be purchased or rented on site. I myself, who had never done snorkelling, managed to have fun and explore the seabed a little.

Lussinpiccolo è bagnata dal mare Adriatico, le sue spiagge sono pulite e l’acqua è talmente limpida che si può vedere il fondo del mare anche a diversi metri di profondità. Alcune baie sono adatte per fare snorkeling. Una delle attrazioni di questo posto è proprio la possibilità di fare snorkeling anche per chi non è un professionista. L’attrezzatura è acquistabile o noleggiabile sul posto. Io stesso che non avevo mai fatto snorkeling sono riuscito a divertirmi e ad esplorare un pochino il fondo del mare.

Lussinpiccolo è una località dell’isola di Lussino in Croazia che si affaccia sul Mar Adriatico. Il suo porto è caratteristico, le sue baie pulite e meravigliose. Un posto accogliente dove si può gustare dell’ottimo pesce fresco.
