Trading Lessons in 2023

Looking back at 2023, I find that I wrote a lot of posts about trading and trading mentality. However, the big question is: Did I learn anything after writing about them? The answer is yes; I did learn a lot and corrected many mistakes I made, especially when FOMO and FUD kicked in. Nevertheless, there is still much more to learn because our minds play tricks on us both when we win and when we lose.

Risk management in leverage trading

We always need to do good risk management, and to do that we first need to assess what our goals are in our trading plan.
(Quota Loss / Positions)= Loss per trade [LPT] $50 / 5 (open positions) = $10
LPT / [Leverage x Stoploss(%)]= Margin
Example: x10 lev and 4% SL $10 / [ 10(lev) x 4%(SL)] = $25 (margin per trade)
X50 lev and 2% SL $10 / [ 50(lev) x 2%(SL)] = $10 (margin per trade)

How is the ROI time calculated Rule 72

An interesting way to calculation ROI.
The simple rule of 72 The rule is really simple you divide the number 72 by the interest or return an example if we had the same interests rates as last year's 0.1% we would need = 72 /0.1 = 720 years With interest rates at 4% X = 72 / 4 = 18 years And if you are asking if is it compounding the answer is yes the results are in only by compounding interest since it can only be used for exponential growth

Trading Loss Comeback

Trading-wise, it was a year filled with ups and downs. The last three months of the year brought in significant profits. However, I believe that 2024 will be the year in which I correct my mistakes. I plan to review everything I've written, assess what I have implemented, and identify areas for improvement.

Happy New Year Guys see you in 2024

However, the big question is: Did I learn anything after writing about them?

Oh yes, always good to learn, but my problem is that at my age, I learn something today and tomorrow it's forgotten. I write notes and then they disappear to notes heaven !LOL
See you next year!
