2024 Goal Setting
As 2024 has started, it's time to plan ahead and set some goals. What better way to establish and document these goals than by writing them on Hive, where they can never be deleted or lost? With this platform, that excuse is eliminated.
My two main goals are to travel to a new continent, and I'm considering either Japan or Africa. I haven't finalized the African country yet, but Kenya, Tanzania, Madagascar, and South Africa are my top four choices.
Kenya:
Kenya is known for its diverse landscapes, including savannahs, mountains, and lakes.
Nairobi, the capital, offers a blend of urban and natural attractions, such as Nairobi National Park.
Tanzania:
Home to Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa.
Serengeti National Park and Zanzibar Island.
Madagascar:
Renowned for its unique flora and fauna, with many species found nowhere else on Earth.
The Avenue of the Baobabs and Andasibe-Mantadia National Park.
South Africa:
A diverse country offering wildlife safaris, beautiful beaches, and vibrant cities like Cape Town and Johannesburg.
The second travel goal is to visit Iceland.
Iceland is Known for its stunning landscapes, including waterfalls, glaciers, and geysers.
My second goal for Hive is to reach 200K Hive Power by the end of the year. I currently have 164K.
My third goal is to start a new trading account and attempt to grow it from 100 to 10,000 in approximately a month using only leverage trading.
The fourth goal is to post on every day for the entire year. Although I fell short last year, missing around 5 or 6 days, I hope to achieve this consistently this time around.
The fifth goal is to reduce the time spent on my phone by 60% by the end of the year and organize my day better to savor each moment.
As a sixth goal, I aim to read the following books by the end of the year: "Don Quixote," the entire series of Plato, and "Reminiscences of a Stock Operator."
And seventh start meditation.
What a way to keep your self accountable. This is an amazing strategy. Hive has the potential of being more things than just throwing sentences at the screen. All the best in your years endeavor.

That's a lot of plans for a new year ahead! I think the most exciting part are the travels but self improvement through other activities can't be neglected either. Keeping my fingers crossed to succeed and have all the goals set completed at the end of the year 💪🏻

True I have tried it in the past and I meditating for 2 months straight but then I just stopped and starting again and maintaining it was really hard

I'd love to do some traveling, the longest I've ever been away Ireland is about 10 days in one go, but I've always wanted to do some real traveling for a month or more. Me and my partner have our hearts set on Japan, to potentially spend a month or more there, but that won't be for a few years.
Posting daily is a tough one, I done it for the whole of 2023 and am currently on my way toward doing the whole of 2024 too, but I haven't fully commited to the idea of doing the daily's for 2024 yet.

Wow! Those are SOME goals that you have there. Very intimidating to say the least. Iceland is just way too cold, but I guess not everyone is a sissy like me.

Gee, that feels like a lot you want to achieve, but if you’ve got the mindset and the skills to do them, then I’m sure you’ll see them come to fruition. I’ll be interested to read any updates on how you’re progressing and to celebrate your successes at the end of the year.
