RE: Discover Hive's second-level tokens: Focus on PIMP: Use Cases, Market Value and My Accumulation Goal (ENG/ITA)

You are viewing a single comment's thread:

It sounds interesting, but I would be very cautious. A shit token created out of thin air on a centralized smart contract (nothing else is Hive-Engine, isn´t it), that pays out dividends in a bunch of other shit tokens. It can go well, but the risk that the values of many of those tokens decreases, is significantly, let alone all the time to track and convert those back into meaningful cryptos.

Hi @stayoutoftherz and thanks for your comment
In more than 4 years on Hive I have seen many second-level tokens born and die, and many have lost their value over time, and this is especially true for community tokens that have no other use cases.
That is why I totally agree with you when you write:

It sounds interesting, but I would be very cautious.

When a new or old user asks me for advice on which second-level token to buy I always reply that the only tokens to buy are HIVEs which are the only tokens here that are decentralized and has many many use cases and potential.

But the tokens like PIMP can be accumulated without investing because you just need to use the pimp tag and that is a point in favor of the PIMP token. I have accumulated almost 10k PIMPs by using the tag in my posts and others I have obtained by exchanging other second level tokens that do not have use cases.
That is why I wrote in my post that I like to accumulate second-level tokens that have many use cases and I did not write that I like to buy them ;)
Among second level tokens, excluding tokens related to Hive games which are one of my passions, I consider PIMP tokens better than many other 2nd level tokens and especially better than many community tokens that will have a value = 0 after months or a few years...

Hive is my favorite blockchain project but in my opinion it needs decentralized smart contracts for tokens and NFTs and I hope such features will be implemented in the future.

let alone all the time to track and convert those back into meaningful cryptos.

This is true although Hive keychain will allow to reduce the time for conversion by a lot because it has developed a swap service (under testing) that allows tokens from Hive Engine to be converted directly to HIVE

In that case it seems profitable, I will try to use that tag too.

To further ease your and @libertycrypto27 concerns, we are far from any other shit token out there. We distribute liquid HIVE on top of the other tokens in the massive list - which we can agree as a community to remove or add to at any time based on demand. We also have a Vault Keeper - that holds physical silver to bolster the token. So, if our token and all of crypto goes to shit (which I feel it won't - we have remained steady and even grown in the bear), all token holders will still have that value if we chose to liquidate the physical assets.

@enginewitty thanks for the tag

I never had any concerns about the PIMP token because it is a token that I like otherwise I would have sold it and until today I have not sold any token ;)

By the way I only write articles about projects and tokens that I like ;)

Great! I didn't know about this!

There have been and are some shit tokens on hive engine and that is why I think some Hivers are diffident about second level tokens but Pimp is different and in my opinion it is among the top tokens on Hive engine!
