WHAT YOU OBLIGED TO? || DAY 18 OF 30 DAYS BLOGGING CHALLENGE
As we progress in life, we get instituted to certain responsibilities, and follow some values that brought us to the very stage we are. Some if not most of the responsibilities in our care has become an obligation for us. We have to do it not minding if others don't.
Today's topic of discussion is: Are you obligated to help others but this question seems to narrow and direct which might just need a direct reply of Yes or No. So to create a good content, I am asking what are you obliged to?
To continue, what does obligation mean or does it mean to be obliged.
Obligation or being obliged means having a part to play or being bound to a duty either morally or by law.
This brings me to the introduction of this article which says: As we progress in life, we get instituted to certain responsibilities, and follow some values.
These responsibilities can either be the one given to us by law or somethings we feel that needs to be done for a change. Most obligations may come as a goal, to fulfil a dying wish, or take responsibilities to correct a mistake.
Since the topic of discussion is: What are you obliged to, then it would be cool (necessary) for me to share some of my obligations.
1. MY HEALTH: This is very crucial as my health Condition is important for me to fulfill other obligations, so before anything, me comes first.
2. MY EDUCATION: I haven't finished schooling, in fact I still have about 4years ahead to finish schooling having already spent 3 years in polytechnic plus a year break due to coronavirus. Education is quite tough here as you can end up using 6 years for a 4year course without having a carry-over. So, no matter what, I will complete this shit (education).
3. MY PARENTS: At the moment, I am still under the care of my parents, still living under their roof and it is important to take care of them also even after I leave under their shadow.

4. HIVE GOALS: I have so many goals in hive and there is no other way to fulfill it by being obligated to them. One of the reasons why I dedicate my time here on hive powering up and building connections is that when in the nearest future I finish school, I don't want to be dependent on my job for a living. So, I work tirelessly now to enjoy in future 😅.
5. GIVING A HELPING HAND: There is a quote that always rings in my head which is: We rise by lifting others. I try my best to help those around me in need and to give out support whatever way I can.

Putting ourselves and our families first on the list of priorities is not wrong and does not mean we are selfish... if we don't take care of ourselves, who else will?
Of course it is always good to help others, although this is not really an obligation and depends a lot on the personality of each person and the values they have been taught. Personally, I like to help those in need... I am happy that I can do my bit to help someone in a difficult situation.

Yeah you are right that putting ourselves first doesn't makes us selfish.
Actually, about helping others, I help those who I believe helping them is not a waste of my time because it hurt when you help someone or give someone resources and doesn't make good utilization of it.
Well, you always take part of your time to leave a kind and pleasant comment in my Blog...so I already owed it to you. There are times when I would like to have much more time to dedicate to leave comments in the posts...but, I feel that sometimes time does not yield as much as I would like :( but I assure you that you will see me more often around here.
You are right in what you say...there are times when people are a little ungrateful and it hurts when they don't value your help, but well...I think those are also lessons that life gives us.
Yeah.. One of the reasons why I go round commenting is having to get to know people and build relationships. Maybe having someone coming by to drop me a comment as well. Thanks for coming by.
