Hello bees, hope you are all doing well?

This blog is just a little update of how things is going here in abeokuta. First I would start with yesterday's event.

Hola abejas, espero que todos lo estén haciendo bien?

Este blog es sólo una pequeña actualización de cómo las cosas están yendo aquí en abeokuta. Primero empezaría con el evento de ayer.

Yesterday, I started the day with a wonderful breakfast of beans and rice with stew. Sorry, I don't have a picture of my meal. So yesterday's gist was actually my visit to a friend's place from my department. The reason for going there was to read some courses and prepare a group study time table.

Ayer, comencé el día con un maravilloso desayuno de frijoles y arroz con estofado. Lo siento, no tengo una foto de mi comida. Así que la esencia de ayer fue en realidad mi visita a la casa de un amigo de mi departamento. La razón para ir allí fue leer algunos cursos y preparar una tabla de tiempo de estudio en grupo.

After getting to my friend's place, he served me bread and tea which was really nice for the morning of the visit (second breakfast). I talked about how tough it has been for me which I later found that I was not the only having same issues.

Después de llegar a la casa de mi amigo, me sirvió pan y té, que era muy agradable para la mañana de la visita (segundo desayuno). Hablé de lo difícil que ha sido para mí que más tarde me di cuenta de que no era el único que tiene los mismos problemas.

The issue is that we have spent a lot of break between school, and our brain has been programmed for things about money. So it seems very hard for us to bring our brain down to the level of studying or things to enter inside our heads.

El problema es que hemos gastado mucho descanso entre la escuela, y nuestro cerebro ha sido programado para cosas sobre dinero. Así que parece muy difícil para nosotros llevar nuestro cerebro al nivel de estudio o cosas para entrar dentro de nuestras cabezas.

Our mode of lectures is online and we make use of Google Classroom. The lecturers drops videos for each topic and leaves assessments. The problem many of us are facing is the data for the videos. The videos takes a lot of data and presently I have over 30 lecture videos I haven't touched.

Nuestro modo de conferencias está en línea y hacemos uso de Google Classroom. Los profesores sueltan videos para cada tema y deja evaluaciones. El problema al que nos enfrentamos muchos de nosotros son los datos de los vídeos. Los videos toma una gran cantidad de datos y actualmente tengo más de 30 videos de conferencias que no he tocado.

During our discussions, another coursemate of mine came in and we settled on studying 3 topics of each courses per week. Then thereafter, everything ended up in playing card games.

Durante nuestras discusiones, entró otro compañero de curso mío y nos pusimos a conocer 3 temas de cada curso por semana. A partir de entonces, todo terminó en jugar juegos de cartas.

Funny enough, I am not a professional at playing card games but I was lucky to be winning all through the games we played. We played about 9 rounds together and I won 6 of them. In fact, these guys play the game often and I haven't played it for over a year. They were thinking I was lying to them about not knowing how to play the game but I just had to tell them that it was luck that was with me.

Curiosamente, no soy un profesional en jugar juegos de cartas, pero tuve la suerte de ganar todo a través de los juegos que jugamos. Jugamos unas 9 rondas juntos y gané 6 de ellas. De hecho, estos chicos juegan el juego a menudo y no lo he jugado durante más de un año. Estaban pensando que les estaba mintiendo sobre no saber cómo jugar el juego, pero sólo tenía que decirles que era la suerte lo que estaba conmigo.

Now today, I am in a friend's place charging my phone. Our light is bad again and I couldn't charge my phone all through yesterday. On getting to where I am charging my phone, I met other people there before me 😅😂. It shows I am not alone in the same situation.

Hoy estoy en el lugar de un amigo cargando mi teléfono. Nuestra luz es mala de nuevo y no pude cargar mi teléfono todo el día de ayer. Al llegar a donde estoy cargando mi teléfono, conocí a otras personas allí antes de que yo 😅😂. Demuestra que no estoy solo en la misma situación.
