👩🏫 I got Picked To Be A Flower Girl, My New Khmer Teacher, & More! 💐
I want to tell you about my school day. Also I just know that I got picked to be a flower girl for my cousin's wedding in a weeks.
So today was just another day of school, but I got a group project and a lot of homework. I have to study until 5pm sometimes now, which is kinda late. I also take extra class with Khmer subject. I would like to study math but the math teacher having made time for it yet.
Also my new Khmer teacher is kinda strict, and most of the students are afraid of her. I think strict teachers are fun, but I'm sure not everyone agree with me. I guess I am a bit different, but for me the new Khmer teacher is kinda funny. To bad the old Khmer teacher is still my favorite, and sometimes I even hang out with him in the principal office. I of course ask him a lot of questions, and also his grandson used to be my male best friend.
Also I got English class and the English teacher kept looking at me every times he asked someone to read something. He now knows that I am one of the three only white dudes (foreigners) here in Thmor Da, my dad also know my English teacher. I hate it when I have to read stuff out loud for the whole classroom, because I can only hear my voice. I don't really mind it when it is in Khmer, but reading in English is something else. I don't know why but I think it is because I'm so used to reading English in my head, that it is weird reading them out loud. My friends love it though, and they won't stop talking about speaking English.
Also my mom just got a phone call from one of my uncle's wife, telling her that they want me to be the flower girl. I seriously don't want to put make-up on my face and have my hair done. I've seen some people's hair are damaged when they get their done. Also flower girls in Cambodia they only pick teenagers, all we have to do is dress up, walk, and hold flowers.
