Basket of 15 Cryptos as of 26/12/2023

Last week it looked like things were cooling down but things are still mooning hard. SOL is up 57% this week, Optimism is up 52%, Quant is up 31% and ARB, AVAX and MATIC are all up over 10% as well. Each week i think I need to rebalance the basket but each week our biggest positions are the biggest gainers. I have already said i will swap SOL from tier 3 with BNB in tier 2. I could be tempted to move SOL into ETH's place in 1st tier, move ETH to 2nd tier and BNB down to 3rd.

We finish the week in 5 figures for the first time and close to $11k. You can see above that SOL is killing it and AVAX is double what it should be. Not rebalancing the last few months has done us a solid in terms of dollar growth. If we had been selling off SOL and ADA the past few months, we would not have seen this growth as fast. The same can happen in reverse so if the markets turn bearish and SOL and ADA dump the hardest, we lose more faster.

I've been watching and waiting for the time to rebalance but things keep going up and there's been no correction yet in the market.

The XV token liquidation value has increased again this week to 1.68 HIVE. This represents a 68% paper gain to date which works out at exactly 2% growth per week based on it being 34 weeks since launch.

What do you think is more likely first?

Do we go back to 1.50 HIVE per XV tokens or do we go to 2 HIVE?

Our basket is up 1800 HIVE this week which is amazing growth. From week 25, we have only had 1 week where we've declined which is a fantastic run. We are clear at over 10k HIVE in gains and with so many weeks left, we have lots more room for growth.

Round-Up

It's been a better week than expected and I was surprised to see the XV token increase 0.1 HIVE because HIVE is up 6% this week which is a pretty good week. After adding the numbers to the tracking sheet, I saw our basket increased by 12% overall. My mind is blown away.

We invested in XV to play/hedge top-ranked cryptos against HIVE with the idea that top-ranked crypto would lead the bullrun and outperform lower-ranked cryptos (HIVE) for most of the bullrun. We plan to wrap XV up halfway through the bullrun year before lower-ranked cryptos (HIVE) see their biggest gains which are at the end of the year.

It's nice to see it play out as planned. It was bumpy for the first 25-26 weeks and we could return to that pattern after this current bullishnish but at a higher level at least. Things are going very well for us and if we can continue to see similar growth for the remaining 74 weeks, we'll be able to convert our basket into a ton more HIVE than we have today.
