Basket of 15 Cryptos as of 06/02/2023

Pretty much everything in our basket is down this week, only LINK increased and it increased massively by 27% from last week. We can see above that we started with 32.81 LINK and we currently hold 22.92 so we've sold off around 10 in a past rebalancing. This shows LINK has been preforming really weel from from we bought it 40 weeks ago.

QNT has dropped out of the top 50, it's not performing as I expected to be honest but I'll give it a fair give it 2 weeks to get back into the top 50. There are a few new tokens in the top 50 that we can replace it with easily. Immutable (IMX) pops to mind.

The basket value dropped about $250 from last week, not too bad considering 14 of our 15 tokens dropped in value. We should think of this as a win, haha. Pretty much everything has dropped by between 3-6% and LINK mooned 27% so our allocations are almost the same as last week. Im thinking the market will be sideways for a while now until BTC halves in a few months. No plans for a rebalance in the next few weeks is what im trying to say, im ok with the way things are looking at the minute.

The book value of the XV token has increased again and on paper, we're all up 82%. How high can it go? How long can our basket continue to outperform HIVE? Im predicting around 68 more weeks, seems hella bearish on HIVE but it is what it is. We saw this happening last cycle, SPI's holdings in BTC and ETH mooned against HIVE right into the middle of 2021 and I remember that. Not only did I remember, but I also took action and launched XV tokens, haha

It's not the sort of thing the normal HIVE user would see I guess. I watch the ratios cause I know from the past cycle that spreads can be massive against HIVE and trading in dollars is for plebs. BTC price is the crypto gold standard.

Anyways, the token book value is good.

The chart above it looking very nice. The first 26-27 weeks were choppy and we almost went into a negative profit a few times but since week 28, we've been mooning and currently just shy of 15k in HIVE profit. Remember when XV wraps up and we start to buy back XV tokens, we'll convert our basket into HIVE. Assuming we stay in profit, XV will be buying into new HIVE which is good for HIVE. Fair enough we cashed 18k HIVE out to get our basket of 15 cryptos but if we cashed out today, we'd be buying back 33k HIVE 🥳

It's not massive but it could be 60-70k HIVE in 38 weeks which is still not massive but it all counts god damn it. If 50 other projects like this existed, it could have an impact. SPI will take 5% of profits so if you need motivation to start something, there it is. Make other people money and take a cut, it's pretty easy. XV is a token with no bots connected and maintenance is a weekly update post and rebalancing the basket every 2-3 months. If you have more than half a brain, you qualify.

I keep going off-topic. Profit is solid and it would be awesome to see us get over 15k next week, at we can set our next target of 20k 🥳 Of course if HIVE moons to 50 cents, we're screwed!

Round Up

Another good week for XV, we got lucky again. It's really all just a big gamble, our 15 cryptos are selected already and we're committed for a long time already but it is all down to luck and hoping we can dodge any bullets. HIVE was not even a token this time 4 years ago so it's all a guessing game for now. Even the first year for HIVE cant really be counted on as good numbers because tons of STEEMer's were dumping HIVE like crazy during this time. We'll not know until the end of 2025 when we can say we've seen HIVE in a complete cycle and have a much better idea of how HIVE performs through cycles. I mean so far, it's working out well for us but things can turn. Im feel like im always a Debbie Down.
