Basket of 15 Cryptos as of 26/03/2023
We've had a solid finish to the week with everything pumping the past 2 days. SOL's over-allocated again but what's new with that. You can see by comparing our "starting positions" with "current position" to see which tokens have performed best for us.
Best Performer
We started with 19.42 SOL and hold 9.96 today because it's been mooning for 6 months and became over-allocated a few times. We sold some to increase positions in under-allocated positions. On teh other side.
Worst Performer
We started with 5.02 LTC and hold 10.89 today. LTC has become under-allocated a few times because it's not kept up with the rest of our basket. When we sell over-allocated positions, the funds are used to buy under-allocated positions.
Would the XV be worth more if I just held our starting positions and never rebalanced? Yes, 100% but the point of rebalancing is to reduce risk. On the flip side, we know all the tokens in our basket will pump at some point over the remaining 61 weeks so having 50% more XRP than we started with will pay off on the road when it pumps 20% in a day.
The dollar value of the basket increased this week by 9% which brings us to a 130% gain from the launch. You can see better how things are performing. SOL, BNB and AVAX are killing it and MATIC and ARB are not.
Our basket value increased by 9% this week but HIVE increased by 17% with half of that coming in the past 24 hours. This means because HIVE outperformed our basket, the book value of the XV decreased to 2.14 HIVE each. Bummer but on a plus note, HIVE today is around the same price as HIVE was when we launched meaning HIVE has flatlined the past 47 weeks and our basket has doubled.
I always try find the silver lining and something positive 😁
Big red week! I told you last week the crypto gods would let us pass 25k in HIVE profit and I was right. As long as we maintain a book value of 2 HIVE each, I'll be happy.
We are still over 20k in HIVE profit and 3-4 pullbacks in 16 weeks is pretty good.
Round-Up
5 more weeks left in this year until we hit the halfway mark. Things are going well, I will need to sell some SOL and BNB soon cause they are up too much. Roughing eyeing it, we'll need to top our positions in ADA and SHIB. I'll leave it another week and see what SHIB does. X have been hinting at using DOGE for payments and whats good for DOGE is good for SHIB (maybe).
Aside from that, I think over the next 2-3 months we'll see alot of sideways action in the markets and then will pop off again properly for the summertime. If im wrong, it'll just straight moon. There is no chance we go back bear and tank 50%, not an option at this stage in the game. The markets will either go sideways and bounce within a 10-15% range are we'll moon. Im good with both.
Let's see if our basket can continue to be a good hedge against HIVE and we can wrap up before HIVE sees its 5-10x pumpage.
