Lodges of Calderas a trip with a bad night's sleep | Barinas, Venezuela
One of the things I enjoy when I travel is sleeping in different places, to know new inns and hotels although the first night I can not get a good sleep I'm excited to get to an unknown place and be placed in a new room, as I travel alone I have to share rooms with strangers who are regularly in the same condition as me, They are single and also travel alone, then the organizers of the trips distribute the rooms according to the profile of the tourists, matrimonial rooms for couples, rooms for families traveling together or rooms with many single beds or bunk beds for people traveling alone, this last one is my group.
On the trip to the coffee town Calderas, I met two inns because there were too many to be in one, so they divided the group in two and sent some to the inn, the corner of the sounds, and others to where I stayed at the inn Camino Real, which later I will tell you an anecdote. The two groups shared in both inns, visiting each other, eating, and having fun, after arriving from our walks and routes, but each one slept where they were assigned. My posada was an old colonial-style house built on the banks of a river with a lot of affluence and the whole house was built in wood, to get to it you had to go down a few stairs and at the entrance, there was a small pool and many trees with exotic flowers that I had never seen, including the coffee plant and cocoa, the space was divided in two, down was a house with a large room where was the restaurant with a bar, and chairs were placed in the country style and above was another space where was the kitchen and also had tables to eat, towards the function of another restaurant, this was surrounded by very nice plants, surrounded by ferns and various jades.
Posadas de Calderas un viaje con mala noche de sueño | Barinas, Venezuela
Una de las cosas que disfruto cuando viajo es dormir en diferentes lugares, conocer nuevas posadas y hoteles aunque la primera noche no logro conciliar un buen sueño me emociona llegar a un lugar desconocido y ubicarme en una nueva habitación, como viajo sola me toca compartir habitaciones con personas desconocidas que regularmente están en la misma condición que yo, son solteros y también viajan solos, entonces los organizadores de los viajes distribuyen las habitaciones según el perfil de los turistas, habitaciones matrimoniales para parejas, habitaciones para familias que viajan juntos o habitaciones con muchas camas individuales o literas para personas que viajan solos, este último es mi grupo.
En el viaje al pueblo cafetalero Calderas, conocí dos posadas porque éramos muchos para estar en una sola, así que dividieron el grupo en dos y enviaron unos a la posada, el rincón de los sonidos y otros a donde yo me quede posada camino real que más adelante les cuento una anécdota. Los dos grupos compartimos en ambas posadas, visitándonos unos a otros, comiendo y divirtiéndonos, después de llegar de nuestros paseos y rutas, pero cada quien dormía a donde los asignaron. Mi posada era una casa antigua estilo colonial construida a las orillas de un río con bastante afluencia y toda la casa estaba construida en madera, para llegar a ella había que bajar unas cuantas escaleras y en la entrada estaba una piscina pequeña y muchos árboles con flores exóticas que nunca había visto, incluyendo la planta de café y el cacao, el espacio estaba dividido en dos, hacia abajo estaba una casa con un salón grande donde era el restaurante con un bar, y se colocan sillas al estilo campestre y más arriba había otro espacio donde estaba la cocina y también tenía mesas para comer, hacia la función de otro restaurante, este estaba rodeado de plantas muy lindas, rodeadas de helechos y distintos jades.
Food
In the Posada Camino Real, most of my group had breakfast, lunch, and dinner all included in the trip, every time I do an excursion with this company I am very satisfied with their menus, although at home I eat well eating in another environment and made by other people is something I enjoy a lot, more if they make it tasty, who does not like to eat in the street, Among the things that we ate I remember some giant hamburgers that I forgot to take pictures and a soup of ribs, cachapas with cheeses, Venezuelan food, and shawarmas, wheat arepas that are typical of this Andean region are white and soft, they gave them to us with seasoned eggs with tomatoes and onions here we call them (pericos) like the birds that speak. I don't eat these arepas because I'm from another region, but I like them very much.
Alimentación
En la posada camino real la mayoría de mi grupo desayunaba, almorzaba y cenaba todo incluido en el viaje, cada vez que hago una excusión con esta empresa quedo muy satisfecha de sus menús, aunque en mi casa como rico comer en otro ambiente y hecho por otras personas es algo que disfruto mucho, más si lo hacen sabroso, a quien no le gusta comer en la calle, entre las cosas que comimos recuerdos unas hamburguesas gigantes que se me olvido sacar fotos y una sopa de costillas, cachapas con quesos, comidas venezolanas y shawarmas, arepas de trigo que son unas arepas típicas de esta región andina son blancas y blandidas, nos las dieron con huevos sazonados con tomates y cebollas aquí les decimos (pericos) como las aves que hablan. Estas arepas no las como casi porque soy de otra región, pero me gustan mucho.

The sound corner: has at its entrance a roofed space with palm and wood, its walls and divisions are made with wooden logs, here there are hammocks and sofas to take a nap or rest after some physical activity, after this area in the whole entrance there is a large patio with grass and is where the tents of the people who did not want to pay for a room are located, they pay less. After this patio is the kitchen in an open environment, there are also the bathrooms, and at the top of a small mountain up a small mountain are the rooms. In this posada I only knew the common areas such as the bathrooms and the kitchen, I did not get to enter the rooms.
Lodges Camino Real is where I stayed, and I described it at the beginning, but I did not tell you what happened to me, in this posada I slept 3 nights, my room had a double bed, a bunk bed and two single beds and a bathroom that we had to share with 6 people, This house is made of adobe which is a construction material made of mud and straw, we only had one window and at night we closed it because it was cold, this whole area is mountainous and has low temperatures, but when we closed everything the smell of humidity was great and gave us allergy to those who stayed there; However, we spent the first night, the next day the electricity went out and with that goes the water apparently the people who stayed in the room that was just above my room, opened a sink and as no water came out forgot to turn off the tap, you can imagine what happened when the light and water came, yes, everything was flooded causing the water to seep and go through the cracks in the floor above what was my room ceiling. That day we had just arrived from doing several treks, we went through two waterfalls and traveled many kilometers, I was dead and just wanted to lie in bed to rest.
Posadas
El rincón de los sonidos: tiene en su entrada un espacio techado con palma y madera, sus paredes y divisiones están hechas con troncos de madera, aquí hay hamacas y sofás para dormir una siesta o descansar después de alguna actividad física, luego de esta área en toda la entrada hay un patio grande con grama y es donde se ubican las carpas de las personas que no quisieron pagar por una habitación, ellos pagan menos. Después de este patio está la cocina en un ambiente abierto, también están los baños y en la parte de arriba subiendo una pequeña montaña están las habitaciones. En esta posada solo conocí los espacios comunes como los baños y la cocina no llegue a entrar a las habitaciones.
La posada camino real que es donde me quedé, y la describí al principio, pero no les conté lo que me paso, en esta dormí las 3 noches, mi habitación contaba con una cama matrimonial, una litera y dos camas individuales y un baño que debíamos compartir 6 personas, esta casa es hecha de adobe que es un material de construcción hecho con barro y paja, solo teníamos una ventana y en la noche la cerrábamos porque se colaba el frío, toda esta zona es de montaña y tiene bajas temperaturas, pero al cerrar todo el olor a humedad era grande y nos dio alergia a los que nos quedamos allí; sin embargo, pasamos la primera noche, al día siguiente se fue la electricidad y con eso se va el agua al parecer las personas que se quedaron en la habitación que estaba justo en la parte de arriba de mi habitación, abrieron un lavamanos y como no les salió agua se olvidaron de cerrar el grifo, te imaginas lo que sucedió cuando llego la luz y el agua, sí; todo se inundó ocasionando que el agua se filtrara y pasara por las grietas del piso de arriba lo que era mi techo de habitación. Ese día acabamos de llegar de hacer varios trekkings, pasamos por dos cascadas y recorrimos muchos kilómetros, yo estaba muerta y solo quería tirarme en la cama a descansar.

We were all in the inn when the light and water arrived, but I was the only one in the room because I wanted to take a bath when suddenly the same waterfalls that I had seen in nature had moved to the ceiling of the room, suddenly I see that in the bed next to the bed began to fall a stream of water and there were all the electronic devices of the other companions, I quickly started to pick them up and shout for help, but no one listened to me, the water did not stop and I started to take out the mattresses to roll them so they would not get wet, after a while I gave up and went out to look for the others, the good thing and luckily for my companions their equipment was not damaged and I was moved to a better room without the smell of humidity.

Estamos todos en la posada cuando llego la luz y el agua, pero yo era la única que estaba en la habitación porque quería bañarme cuando de repente las mismas cascadas que había visto en la naturaleza se habían mudado al techo del cuarto, de repente veo que en la cama dé al lado empezó a caer un chorro de agua y allí estaban todos los dispositivos electrónicos de los demás compañeros, estaban sus celulares y cámaras rápidamente empecé a recogerlos y a gritar por ayuda, pero nadie me escuchaba, el agua no paraba y comencé a sacar los colchones a rodarlos para que no se mojaran al rato me di por vencida y salí a buscar los demás, lo bueno y para suerte de mis compañeros sus equipos no se dañaron y a mí me cambiaron de habitación a una mejor sin olor a humedad.

Guao amiga que anécdotas, menos mal te cambiaron de cuarto
jejeje, cositas que pasan, menos mal que me cambiaron porque ya me estaba dando la alergia fuerte.
Tuve la oportunidad de quedarme en la posada Rincón de los sonidos y me encantó, me sentí como en casa aunque solo dure dos días allá. Los dueños son un amor y te atienden de maravilla.
Yo no dormi alli, solo pase a comer y visitar el grupo que si se quedo, se ve muy linda por fuera me imagino que las habitaciones tambien.
Espero que puedas volver a Calderas e ir a los lugares que te faltaron, como los corredores del Diablo, la cueva del diablo jejeje y el puente de hierro, esos son los sitios que vi que te pudieron faltar, gracias por la visita @arteyviajes

It's a very nice inn, but seems like then taken the natural environment too far and not built it well enough for visitors, water shouldn't fall into a room like that!! How dangerous!
That inn deserves to be torn down, it is very old and a danger as you say friend, I was a little upset about this issue, but I decided to let go and have a good time @livinguktaiwan

Se ven muy bonitas esas posadas, cuando estuve en Calderas nos quedamos en una que se llama Cielito Lindo, me gustó mucho.
Qué peligro lo del agua, eso suele pasar incluso en los edificios, cuando se va el agua la gente abre los grifos, luego salen y se les olvida cerrarlos, cuando el agua regresa y ellos vuelven después, sus apartamentos y los pasillos del edificio inundados...
En la que me quede es bonita pero muy vieja y de un momento a otro se cae.
En la casa cuando se va la luz y no llega antes de acostarnos cerramos el paso de agua, porque en una oportunidad llego y toda la noche el grifo estuvo abierto. 🙈🙈
¡Ay! Menos mal que no se cayó mientras estuviste ahí.
