Clutch guide replacement

Dear friends again here with a minor repair I did to the car of the house.
As many know we have a Chevrolet spark this car is well preserved mechanically but many parts are already fulfilling their useful life as is the case of the failure that I presented the clutch guaya.
Last week I began to notice that the gears when the car was hot cost much to engage, this solved it by giving graduation to the clutch guaya, but three days later my wife went out in the car and presented the failure so much so that I had to turn off the car to put the first gear.
Since Monday I started looking for the replacement getting different prices and quality and the one I decided to buy that I saw better quality cost me 10$. The work is relatively simple you only need a 10mm wrench or a die, the guaya is attached with a nut where it graduates on the fork that drives the clutch.
At the top you have to disassemble the air filter assembly, the battery and the battery base to access two 10mm nuts that hold the firewall guide.
When removing the battery I noticed that the acid from the previous battery had run the paint in that area so I took advantage of the space to wash and pass a wire brush to remove the rust and put new paint to prevent further corrosion.
On the inside of the car is a very uncomfortable working space and more for me, but you only have to remove a key to disassemble the clutch pedal and release the key which comes out of the engine side of the car.
Once disassembled I compare it with the new one to verify the measurement and proceed to install.
Now we just have to reverse the process by installing first on the firewall, then on the pedal leaving it installed and with its key in place to finally go to put the key in the fork and give graduation to the pedal. We mount the accessories that we removed and ready.
It should be noted that the guaya was not damaged at all but to come desgraduandose means that it had already broken a part and was unraveling which makes it longer and edo notice the failure, this I mention it so that they are pending in case something similar happens to them.
I can also tell you that one gets used to the changes in the behavior of the car and do not notice that the useful time of the parts is consumed for example now with the new guaya the pedal is a smoothness that I do not remember when was the last time I felt it like that.

Queridos amigos nuevamente por aquí con una reparación menor que le hice al auto de la casa.
Cómo muchos saben tenemos un Chevrolet spark este auto está bien conservado mecánicamente pero muchas partes ya están cumpliendo su vida útil como es el caso de la falla que se me presento de la guaya del embrague.
La semana pasada empecé a notar que las velocidades cuando el auto estaba caliente costaban mucho acoplar, esto lo solvente dando graduación a la guaya del embrague, pero tres días después mi esposa salió en el auto y le presento la falla tanto así que tenía que apagar el auto para poder colocar la primera velocidad.
Desde el día lunes empecé en la búsqueda del reemplazo consiguiendo diferentes precios y calidad y la que decidí comprar que le ví mejor calidad me costó 10$. El trabajo es relativamente sencillo solo se necesita una llave de 10mm o un dado, la guaya está sujeta con una tuerca en dónde gradúa en la horquilla que acciona el embrague.
En la parte superior hay que desmontar el conjunto del filtro de aire, la batería y la base de la batería para tener acceso a dos tuercas de 10mm que sujetan la guaya del corta fuego.
Al sacar la batería note que el ácido de la batería anterior había corrido la pintura en esa zona por lo que aproveche el espacio para lavar y pasar un cepillo de alambre para quitar el óxido y colocar pintura nueva para evitar más corrosión.
En la parte interna del auto es un espacio de trabajo bien incómodo y más para mi contestura, pero solo hay que retirar una chaveta para desmontar el pedal del embrague y poder liberar la guaya la cual sale por el lado del motor del auto.
Una vez desmontada la comparo con la nueva para verificar la medida y proceder a instalar.
Ahora solo toca revertir el proceso instalando primero en la pared de fuego, luego en el pedal dejándolo instalado y con su chaveta colocada para de último ir a meter la guaya en la horquilla y dar graduación al pedal. Montamos los accesorios que retiramos y listo.
Cabe destacar que la guaya no se dañó del todo pero al venir desgraduandose significa que ya se había roto una parte y estaba desenredando lo que la hace más larga y por edo note la falla, esto lo acoto para que esten pendientes por si les sucede algo similar.
También les puede decir que uno se va acostumbrando a los cambios del comportamiento del auto y no nota que se consume el tiempo útil de las piezas por ejemplo ahora con la guaya nueva el pedal es una suavidad que ni recuerdo cuando fue la última vez que lo sentí así.

Amigo verte cambiar la guaya de embrague de tu spark es como ver el cambio del Arauca, sumamente parecido, y me siento identificado con el poco espacio para trabajar cuando uno de de gran tamaño jeje
Horrible de verdad ese modelo no es para nuestra talla 🤣🤣
Que bien amigo, es bueno aprender este tipo de cosas, no tengo auto pero a veces debo enfrentarme a reparaciones, principalmente eléctricas, en los autos de los amigos, saber estos detalles que dices es importante para mí, pues debo tener también una noción de la parte mecánica, gracias por compartir.
