Desde hace 7 años no compartir físicamente con mi mamá, desde hace 7 años que mi mamá se fue del país, algo que al principio nos afectó mucho, sobretodo en las festividades, porque no solo compartíamos ese día, sino días previos a la festividad, el día del evento y los días siguientes.

Yo vivía con mi mamá, antes de ella irse, tomé la decisión de salir de casa, pero nunca dejaba de estar cerca de ella, todos los días la veía, aunque sea un momento, luego que ella se fue, se derrumbaron muchas cosas, que hoy día aún afectan.

Pase por momentos que no quisiera volver a pasar sin que ella estuviera presente, seguro que si lo estuviera, me hubiese recuperado más rápido, porque aunque no es la mamá más amorosa, es una mujer admirable y de gran corazón. Para sus hijas y nietos, les da el mundo entero de ser necesario.

Ahora, creo que nunca había hablado de mi mamá ni mostrado en Hive, no recuerdo, hoy me animé a hacerlo, no lo había hecho antes porque como ella no está presente, no tengo fotos actuales junto a ella, además que no compartimos actualmente ninguna actividad juntas, salvo el hablar por videollamada de vez en cuando.

¿Qué recuerdos bonitos tienes en alguna festividad del día de las madres?

Mi mamá desde siempre estuvo presente en todas nuestras actividades, desde chiquitas nos cuidaba y atendía con la mejor disposición, tener 3 hijas y dos de ellas sean una torbellino de emociones, no creo que haya sido fácil, pero aquí estamos las 3, estamos bien y felices.

Con mi mamá en navidad, comenzábamos a hacer los adornos desde meses antes, nos enseño a pegar canutillos, lentejuelas y coser, a nuestra manera, pero nos enseñó. Luego de que llegara el 13 de diciembre, día de Santa Lucia, patrona de Suecia, ella ponía junto a la familia, la navidad.

Cuando cada quién fue saliendo de casa, ella iba a casa de cada una y el ritual no se perdía, con dedicación nos acompañaba y ayudaba a decorar nuestros hogares. Es lo que más extraño de esas fechas.

No sin quitarle importancia a cuando nos hacía vestidos para una celebración que se hacía aquí en mi ciudad, llamada las noches de antaño, donde se esmeraba en que estuviéramos disfrazadas con vestidos del siglo 19 y más.

Hacer galletas, dulces, con ella, era un momento de zen entre nosotras. No sé qué se acuerden mis hermanas, porque cada una es independiente a la otra, pero mi mamá para mí es mi fuerza y seguridad, además de mi papá.

¿Existe alguna tradición familiar para celebrar este día? Descríbela.

El día de la madre, usualmente hacíamos un almuerzo en familia y nos quedábamos viendo una película o íbamos a casa de mi abuela, algún regalo salía de nosotros o simplemente el estar presente era suficiente. Mi mamá no es una mujer exigente y nos enseñó eso a nosotras. Ser paciente y agradecida solo con la presencia.

Una tradición como tal, solo el almuerzo, seguramente hacer algo por ella, abrazarla y pasar el día juntas, así estuviésemos cada una en su cuarto.

¿Cuál es el mejor regalo que le pudieses dar a tu mamá?

El mejor regalo que le podría dar a mi mamá, es no causarle más preocupaciones, porque a pesar de todo, ella está muy pendiente de que nosotros estemos pasando alguna necesidad en Venezuela y eso a ella le causa mucha preocupación.

Cosas materiales no le faltan, como ya mencioné, ella no es mujer de tener mucho, más bien es humilde y lo que ella quiera, ella misma se lo da, no lo pide. A ella le gustan las flores, sin duda le regalara algo con flores o flores naturales para decorar un lugar que ella mejor le parezca.

Mi mamá es hermosa, no dudo que ella sería feliz de tenernos cerca de ella, otro buen regalo sería ese, volver a juntarnos todas las hermanas con ella en un mismo sitio.

Ahora, la iniciativa me pide que le haga una carta, la verdad no soy escritora, pero voy a hacer el intento sin llorar. Lo prometo.

Cuanto anhelo volverte a ver, mamita, abrazarte y sentirte, olerte.

El olor que emanas es algo que siempre me ha relajado, sé que pronto te voy a poder abrazar y dar todo mi cariño, sé que no es fácil pero lo vamos a lograr. Estaremos pronto reunidas y nuevas oportunidades tendremos al frente.

My mother has always been present in all our activities, since we were little she took care of us and attended to us with the best disposition, having 3 daughters and two of them are a whirlwind of emotions, I don't think it was easy, but here we are, the 3 of us, we are fine and happy.

With my mom at Christmas, we started making decorations months before, she taught us to glue beads, sequins and sew, in our own way, but she taught us. After December 13, the day of Saint Lucia, the patron saint of Sweden, arrived, she would put Christmas together with the family.

When each one was leaving home, she went to each one's house and the ritual was not lost, with dedication she accompanied us and helped decorate our homes. It's what I miss the most about those dates.

Not without downplaying when he made us dresses for a celebration that was held here in my city, called the nights of yesteryear, where he took great care that we were disguised with 19th century dresses and more.

Making cookies, sweets, with her, it was a moment of zen between us. I don't know what my sisters remember, because each one is independent from the other, but my mother is my strength and security for me, as well as my father.

On Mother's Day, we usually had a family lunch and watched a movie or went to my grandmother's house, some gift came from us or just being present was enough. My mom is not a demanding woman and she taught us that. Be patient and grateful only with the presence.

A tradition as such, just lunch, surely do something for her, hug her and spend the day together, even if we were each in her room.

The best gift that I could give my mother is not to cause her more worries, because despite everything, she is very aware that we are experiencing some need in Venezuela and that causes her a lot of concern.

She does not lack material things, as I already mentioned, she is not a woman to have much, rather she is humble and whatever she wants, she gives it to herself, she does not ask for it. She likes flowers, without a doubt she will give her something with flowers or natural flowers to decorate a place that best suits her.

My mom is beautiful, I have no doubt that she would be happy to have us close to her, another good gift would be that, to bring all the sisters back together with her in the same place.
