Ok... I'm going to be very blunt from this third review, and not because I'm rude or very raw, but because as I was reading the third Grishaverse book it was becoming quite constant the thought that they had destroyed the story to do something with the series that I still have no idea what the heck it is about.

Voy a ser muy tajante a partir de esta tercera reseña, y no porque soy ruda o muy cruda, sino porque a medida que iba leyendo el tercer libro de Grishaverse se iba siendo bastante constante el pensamientop de que habían destruído la historia para hacer algo con la serie que aún no tengo ni idea de qué rayos se trata.

Let's start this as civilized people that I am and tell you a little bit about Fall and Rise, the third and last book of the story of Alina Starkov, our wonderful sun summoner and all her team of Grishas, a group of people with diverse gifts and talents that depend on what they have around them. In addition to this, she is accompanied by her best friend and lover, the tracker Mal Orestev. Alina is also sponsored by a prince: Nicolai, who is basically her Sugar Daddy, the one who gives her everything she doesn't even know she needs in order to take down her Nemeris: The Darkling, who now rules Ravka. There is no point in reading this review if you don't want to know how the story unfolds, because already in the third book everything changes.

Alina loses the ability to invoke the sun while she is confined underground with all the remaining Grishas, but under the rules of a being as unbearable as The Apparat, who is the religious head of Ravka and who has taken it upon himself to say, throughout the nation, that Alina is a saint and forces her to perform some cheap tricks to further raise the faith of all the parishioners who move from different parts just to meet and be close to their beloved saint. This character, although he appears in the other books, seems to me the most despicable of all, because he keeps Alina imprisoned in a cathedral underground, making it impossible for her to summon the sun. But a plan was brewing so they could all escape and go in search of the third amplifier: the firebird.

This is a wonderful story in which friendship, love, and sense of duty must be woven and put aside for each other in order to reach the goal and destroy once and for all the Shadow, the Dark One and his terrible beasts made of shadow. In this installment we can enjoy fights, journeys to go in search of the grail, the mythical bird that, according to Morozova's writings, is the third amplifier.

Además de esto, la acompaña su mejor amigo y enamorado, el rastreador Mal Orestev. Alina tambiéne stá patrocinada por un principe: Nicolai, quien es básicamente su Sugar Daddy, el que le da todo lo que ni ella sabe que necesita para poder acabar con su Némeris: El Oscuro, quien ahora gobierna Ravka. No tiene sentido que lean esta reseña si no quieren saber como va aconteciendo la historia, porque ya en el tercer libro todo cambia.

Pero un plan se estaba gestando para poder escapar todos e ir en busca del tercer amplificador: el pájaro de fuego.

Esta es una maravillosa historia en la que la amistad, el amor y el sentido del deber deben tejerse y dejar de lado el uno por el otro para poder alcanzar la meta y destruir de una vez por todas a las Sombra, al Oscuro y a sus terribles bestias hechas de sombra. En esta entrega podemos disfrutar de peleas, viajes para ir en búsqueda del grial, es ave mítica que, según los escritos de Morozova, es el tercer amplificador.

The ravages of war leave Alina and Mal as orphans. That's the reason they meet in Kerimzin, that's why they become inseparable, plus the fact that they come from the same place, where, according to indications, the Firebird is also found. I always wondered who their parents were and if their powers had to do with their ancestors. Unfortunately, in the books they don't mention it, because not all stories are like that. In wars it is often not known who the parents of abandoned children are. The shadow can mean everything: a history that was lost, children without parents, destruction of entire cities, and a deep scar in our towns and cities.

Leigh Bardugo is Israeli, and I'm pretty sure she based this story on the stories of her people. It is not by chance that she chose Russia as an inspiration to make this universe, in the deep wounds left by having gone through different wars. It speaks beautifully of the people, their customs, and the land they grew up in and the reasons why they want to rescue their nation. No, I am not going to interpolate this because one gets tired of talking about one's own experiences, I simply enjoyed the story for what it is.

Es la razón por la cual se conocen en Kerimzin, por esto se hacen inseparables, además los une que vienen del mismo sitio, donde según los indicios, también se encuentra el Pájaro de Fuego. Siempre me pregunté quienes serían sus padres y si sus poderes tenían que ver con sus ancestros. Lamentablemente en los libros no lo mencionan, porque no todas las historias son así. En las guerras no se sabe muchas veces quienes son los padres de los niños abandonados. La sombra puede significar todo: una historia que se perdió, hijos sin padres, destrucción de ciudades enteras, y una cicatriz profunda en nuestros pueblos y ciudades.

Leigh Bardugo es Israelí, y estoy casi segura que basa esta historia en las historias de su pueblo. No es casualidad que haya escogido Rusia como inspiración para hacer este universo, en las heridas profundas que deja el haber pasado por diferentes guerras. Habla bonito de las personas, de sus costumbres y de la tierra en la que crecieron y las razones por las que quieren rescatar su nación. No, no voy a interpolar esto porque una se cansa de hablar de las propias vivencias, simplemente me disfruté la historia como lo que es.

As for the adaptation, it pains me that the reason I read the books was because I watched the series, but I loved that it's definitely not the same story. I don't understand why with such a beautiful story, with such a beautiful ending, they decided to end the second season that way. I already want to see what will happen with the third season and see where it all ends because I have no idea what they are doing and how they are going to end it.

As for the Grishaverse saga, the books, there are still several left, but for now I've decided to take a break and read something different, and then I'll be back with more of Grishaverse and Six of Crows, which according to reviews is the best book in this whole universe. I can tell you that if you like fantasy, start reading these wonderful books, you will not be disappointed. They are not a masterpiece, but they are pretty decent books.

I'm happy to have finished a trilogy, and not just for reviewing, but I'm back to who I am, who I was, a total bookworm who loved to have my nose glued to books, the habit is back, and I'm immensely proud of myself.

! [SPANISH VERSION]En cuanto a la adaptación, me duele que la razón por la que haya leído los libros haya sido por haber visto la serie, pero me encantó que definitivamente no sea la misma historia. No entiendo por qué con una historia tan hermosa, con un final tan bello, hayan decidido terminar la segunda temporada de esa manera. Ya quiero ver que pasará con la tercera temporada y ver donde acaba todo porque no tengo idea de lo que están haciendo y como van a terminar.

En cuanto a la saga de Grishaverse, los libros, aún quedan varios, pero por ahora he decidido hacer una pausa y leer algo diferente y luego vuelvo con más de Grishaverse y con Seis de Cuervos, que según las críticas es el mejor libro de todo este universo. Puedo decirles que si les gusta la fantasía, empiecen a leer estos maravillosos libros, no se van a defraudar. No son una obra maestra, pero son unos libros bastante decentes.

Estoy feliz por haberme terminado una trilogía, y no solo por hacer reseñas, sino que he vuelto a lo que soy, a lo que era, toda una ratoncita de bibliotecas que amaba tener pegadas las narices a los libros, el hábito ha vuelto y estoy inmensamente orgullosa de mí misma.
