Quería hacer un video acerca del juego y de mi experiencia, pero la grabadora de video me falló, así que, por fortuna, puedo traer para ustedes una reseña con imágenes que logré capturar.

El juego que les traigo era uno que tenía muchas ganas de jugar desde hace mucho tiempo. Se trata de Journey, un juego creado por That Game Company, quienes también crearon uno de mis juegos favoritos: *Sky. Haber jugado Sky fue la razón por la que yo quería jugar este juego, ya que muchos me lo habían recomendado. Por fortuna, el fin de semana pasado, gracias a que tenía este juego en mi wishlist de Steam, me llegó la notificación de que había un descuento maravilloso para adquirirlo. El juego me costó $1.24, una ganga si me lo preguntan. Este descuento no salió de la nada, justamente el fin de semana fue el lanzamiento para PC de Sky y también lo descargué, por supuesto.

The game I'm bringing you was one that I've been looking forward to play for a long time. It is Journey, a game created by That Game Company, who also created one of my favorite games: *Sky. Having played Sky was the reason I wanted to play this game, as many had recommended it to me. Fortunately, last weekend, thanks to having this game on my Steam wishlist, I got the notification that there was a wonderful discount to purchase it. The game cost me $1.24, a bargain if you ask me. This discount didn't come out of the blue, just over the weekend was the PC release of Sky and I downloaded it too, of course.

Journey

El juego empieza con un personaje completamente vestido con una especie de túnica en el medio de un desierto, sin ningún otro tutorial más allá que el de donde tocar con los botones del mando. Es valedero decir que al momento de iniciar el juego, Steam te saca un comunicado que para tener una mejor experiencia de juego, puedes utilizar un mando XBOX, así que yo desempolvé el mío y le di uso.

The game starts with a character completely dressed in a kind of tunic in the middle of a desert, without any tutorial other than where to touch the buttons on the controller. It is valid to say that when you start the game, Steam gives you a statement that for a better gaming experience, you can use an XBOX controller, so I dusted mine off and put it to use.

El juego es completamente intuitivo, debes ir recorriendo el mundo e ir averiguando los misterios que estos develan. Una de las cosas que puedes hacer es flotar y planear, más no volar. Mientras vas avanzando, vas descubriendo unos sellos luminosos, estos te van proporcionando una bufanda, y esta se va haciendo más larga, mientras más larga sea, más alto puedes flotar. Esta bufanda se activa con pedazo de telas que vas encontrando por todo el territorio, estas te pueden recargar la bufanda y hacer flotar.

También te vas encontrando algunas “criaturas” que más bien son objetos animados, como especies de alfombras voladoras que te van mostrando el camino. Así hasta que en cada nivel consigues como una especie de altar que debes activar para finalizar el actual y seguir hasta el siguiente. Es bastante importante decir que puedes quedarte enganchado un nivel tras otro porque se unen inmediatamente. Yo lo paré justo cuando empezaba a tornarse oscuro porque siento la leve impresión que es cuando empezará a mostrarse más difícil.

The game is completely intuitive, you must go through the world and find out the mysteries that these unveil. One of the things you can do is float and glide, but not fly. As you advance, you will discover some luminous seals, these will provide you with a scarf, and this will become longer, the longer it is, the higher you can float. This scarf is activated with pieces of cloth that you find throughout the territory, these can recharge the scarf and make you float.

You will also find some “creatures” that are animated objects, like flying carpets that show you the way. So in each level you get a kind of altar that you must activate to finish the current level and continue to the next one. It is quite important to say that you can get stuck one level after another because they join immediately. I stopped it just as it was starting to get dark because I get the slight impression that's when it will start to get harder.

Algo que me impresionó muchísimo fueron sus gráficos, es impresionante la manera tan espectacular en que cuentan una historia sin texto, dejándose llevar solo por los gráficos, y por supuesto, el sonido.

Something that impressed me a lot was the graphics, it's impressive the spectacular way they tell a story without text, letting themselves be carried away only by the graphics, and of course, the sound.

Lamento no haber podido grabar, pero la verdad es que también es una experiencia única, y que lo mejor sería que te unieras al juego para que supieras de lo que hablo. No pude evitar comparar el juego con Sky, obviamente tiene mucho de Journey y entiendo el furor causado en ambos juegos. Incluso algunas cosas, como la manera de deslizar, saltar y flotar, que fue lo que me marcó. ¿Cuál es mejor? A estas alturas es imposible decidirme. tendría que completar el juego para poder responder. Por lo pronto, me estoy disfrutando este juego como algo único, Ojalá ustedes también pudieran hacerlo.
