Decoration "Christmas in villa of time" | UNICENTRO Medellín

Greetings friends of Hive and the Architecture+Design community, I wish you all the best. As promised in my last post I come to continue showing you this year's Christmas decorations in the Unicentro Shopping Mall in Medellin, Capital of the Department of Antioquia, Colombia. I know that Christmas decorations are something very nice all over the world and well, these can be a problem because at this time of the year a lot of electrical energy is consumed but in Colombia and many countries in the world the care for the environment is put into practice and it is common to see institutions, companies and shopping centers like Unicentro, with infrastructures that work with solar panels, LED lamps and other devices to take care of the planet.

Unicentro is an example to follow as a protector of the environment besides being a very important chain of shopping centers in Colombia and if you are in Medellin I invite you to visit this mall that is very nice for the Christmas decorations. The truth is that because I am working I have not gone out much this year to see the decorations in the city but I have the opportunity to be in Unicentro Medellin participating in the setting and decoration entitled Christmas in Villa del Tiempo which is a magical representation of children, with very colorful decorated stations where you can see the house of Santa Claus, the toy factory, elves and many decorative elements perfectly made in the three levels of the mall.

Saludos amigos de Hive y de la comunidad Architecture+Design, deseo que estén muy bien. Como lo prometí en mi última publicación vengo para continuar mostrándoles la decoración navideña de este año en el Centro Comercial Unicentro de Medellín, Capital del Departamento de Antioquia, Colombia. Sé que las decoraciones navideñas son algo muy bonito en todo el mundo y bueno, estas pueden ser un problema porque en esta época del año se consume mucha energía eléctrica pero en Colombia y muchos países del mundo se pone en práctica el cuidado por el medio ambiente y es común ver a instituciones, empresas y centros comerciales como Unicentro, con infraestructuras que funcionan con paneles solares, lamparás LED y otros dispositivos para cuidar el planeta.

Unicentro es un ejemplo a seguir como protector del medio ambiente además de ser una cadena de centros comerciales muy importante en Colombia y si estás en Medellín te invito a visitar este centro comercial que está muy bonito por la decoración navideña. La verdad es que yo por estar trabajando no he salido mucho este año de paseo para ver las decoraciones en la ciudad pero tengo la oportunidad de estar en Unicentro Medellín participando de la ambientación y decoración titulada Navidad en villa del tiempo la cual es una mágica representación infantil, con estaciones decoradas muy coloridas donde se puede ver la casa de de Santa Claus, la fabrica de juguetes, duendes y muchos elementos decorativos perfectamente realizados en los tres niveles del centro comercial.

The main door is the one on Bolivariana Avenue, look how the wide entrance is decorated, you can imagine that Unicentro did not skimp on investment for the decoration, with cascades of LED lights and that big Christmas tree that if you see it well is decorated with clocks and pieces of gear, a way to announce this year's theme called Christmas in the village of time.

La puerta principal es la que está por la Av. Bolivariana, miren como está decorada la amplia entrada, ya te puedes imaginar que Unicentro no escatimó en inversión para la decoración, con cascadas de luces LED y ese gran árbol de navidad que si lo ves bien está decorado con relojes y piezas de engranaje, una forma de anunciar la temática de este año llamada Navidad en la villa del tiempo.

This is the San Joaquín gate, in the same style as the Bolivariana. A wide, high door decorated with cascades of LED lights.

Esta es la puerta San Joaquín, en el mismo estilo que la Bolivariana. Una puerta amplia, alta y decorada con cascadas de luces LED.

Already inside the big shopping citadel Unicentro, we can see the roof that is composed of solar panels and reflects the red lights that adorn the top floor. We can already feel the colorful Christmas atmosphere that is all over the mall. Let's keep moving forward.

Ya dentro de la gran ciudadela comercial Unicentro, podemos ver el techo que está compuesto de paneles solares y que refleja las luces rojas que adornan la última planta. Ya podemos sentir el colorido ambiente navideño que está en todo el centro comercial. Sigamos avanzando.

The decoration Christmas in Villa del Tiempo is a work of art, for me it is like a magical Christmas dream that Unicentro offers to the families who visit it. You can see the corridors very decorated and illuminated many ornaments and really impressive spaces, because you can find replicas of what is the world of Santa Claus. There is even a train station built inside the mall. This is incredible, because the train really works, it is not an ornament, the public is delighted and gives rides on it with the children for a price of 8 thousand Colombian pesos and adults do not pay.

La decoración Navidad en villa del tiempo es una obra de arte, para mi es como un sueño mágico de navidad que Unicentro le ofrece a las familias que lo visitan. Se pueden ver los pasillos muy decorados e iluminados muchos adornos y espacios realmente impresionantes, porque se pueden encontrar las replicas de lo que es el mundo de Santa Claus. Hasta hay una estación de tren construida en el interior del centro comercial. Esto es increíble, porque el tren funciona de verdad, no es un adorno, el público está encantado y da paseos en el con los niños por un precio de 8 mil pesos colombianos y los adultos no pagan.

Many decorative elements give the perfect touch in the train station. It strikes me that in addition to the typical Christmas trees there are other elements such as a clock, lamp posts, bell, fantasy characters and beautiful ornaments in durable materials such as metal, glass, fabric and wood.

Muchos elementos decorativos dan el toque perfecto en la estación de tren. Me llama la atención que además de los típicos arboles de navidad hay otros elementos como un reloj, postes de lamparas, campana, personajes de fantasía y bellos adornos en materiales duraderos como metal, vidrio, tela y madera.

On the second floor is one of the most visited stations because it is the Santa Claus toy factory, a construction made mainly with lacquered wood in red and gold, with all those Christmas details and many pieces of gear. The best thing is that the visitors of Unicentro are allowed to enter and see the manufactured toys, the children enjoy this part very much. I took pictures of the structure from several angles so you can see how big and well built it is.

En la primera planta está una de las estaciones más visitadas porque es la fabrica de juguetes de Santa Claus, una construcción hecha principalmente con madera laqueada en color rojo y dorado, con todos esos detalles navideños y muchas piezas de engranaje. Lo mejor es que está permitido el paso y los visitantes de Unicentro pueden entrar a ver los juguetes fabricados, los niños disfrutan mucho esa parte. Le tome fotos a la estructura desde varios ángulos para que vean lo grande y bien construida que está.

Another station on the second floor, all the details are always inspired by Christmas in time village, that's why there are reindeer and boxes as machined and with many pieces of gears.

Otra estación en la primera planta, todos los detalles siempre son inspirados en la Navidad en villa del tiempo, por eso hay renos y cajas como mecanizados y con muchas piezas de engranajes.

Santa's house is another very visited station, it is on the second floor with many well cared for, well made, very meticulous details that perfectly recreate the atmosphere of the main hall. It is a very well built replica and children can sit in Santa's armchair.

La casa de Santa Claus es otra estación muy visitada, está en la segunda planta con muchos detalles bien cuidados, bien hechos, muy minuciosos que recrean perfectamente el ambiente del salón principal. Es una réplica muy bien construida y los niños se pueden sentar en el sillón de Santa Claus.

Another magical season, here Santa's elves read stories to the children and again there are elements that recreate a surreal Christmas atmosphere.

Otro mágica estación, aquí los duendes de Santa le leen historias a los niños y de nuevo hay elementos que recrean un ambiente surreal navideño.

The tour is long to see all the stations that recreate Christmas in the village of time, it is really surreal and fun.

El recorrido es largo para ver todas las estaciones que recrean la Navidad en villa del tiempo, es realmente surrealista y divertido.

What looks like an old phone booth is actually a photo and karaoke studio.

Lo que parece una antigua cabina telefónica es en realidad un estudio de fotografías y de karaoke.

On the second floor there is a Christmas bazaar with kiosk made with pine wood structures and fabric roofs in assorted colors. All under the large ecological roof of Unicentro.

En la segunda planta hay un bazar navideño con quiosco hechos con estructuras de madera de pino y techos de telas en colores surtidos. Todo bajo el gran techo ecológico de Unicentro.

In the tour I found images of Santa Claus in a turbid version, not suitable for children 🎅😳

En el recorrido encontré imágenes de Santa Claus en versión turbio, no acta para niños 🎅😳

Apart from those disturbing images, all families visiting Unicentro can enjoy the special setting Christmas in the village of time and also Christmas musical shows and everything is free until January 8.

Fuera de esas imágenes perturbadoras, todas las familias que visitan Unicentro puedan disfrutar de la ambientación especial Navidad en villa del tiempo y también de shows musicales navideños y todo es gratis hasta el 8 de enero.
