Amigos del otro lado del mundo🌍❤️

Me parece increíble conocer al amigo de un amigo y hacer clic con esa persona desde el segundo uno. Pero, me parece aún más increíble conocer a esa persona y que la conexión sea inmediata, cómo si se tratase de alguien proveniente de tu mismo país aunque... realmente se trate de una persona proveniente de Suecia 😱.
El día de ayer aprendí, de una forma muy bonita, eso que nos une y nos conecta con otros seres humanos, más allá de nuestra nacionalidad, idioma, cultura o religión.
El día de ayer conocimos a Juli y a Rūta, dos hermanas que la hermana de mi esposo conoció durante el tiempo que estuvo de intercambio en Suecia. Quedó una bonita amistad entre ellas y ahora que visitaban Latinoamérica, específicamente Colombia, decidimos conocerlas. Mi cuñada no estaría, pues ella vive en Argentina, pero mi esposo y yo sí. Y aunque no conocíamos a Juli y a Rūta, queríamos recibirlas, conocerlas, y darles una bienvenida no solo a Colombia, sino también a la Venezuela que hemos creado en la distancia, a través de nuestra familia.
Escogimos el día de ayer a las 8:00 p.m para vernos, en un Centro Comercial. De inmediato me di cuenta de su GRAN amabilidad. La noche pasó muy rápido, primero con las preguntas básicas para saber quiénes éramos, y luego, esas conversaciones más profundas y personales que van más allá del país de donde uno viene y que apuntan directamente a lo que uno es.
El encuentro tuvo inicio en un restaurante de comida típica colombiana y terminamos tomando polas en un BBC. Juli me presentó la Cola-Pola, una bebida gaseosa con toque de alcohol que yo no había probado y Rūta probó por primera vez las arepas colombianas. Hablamos de películas, de música, de tradiciones, hobbies... de nuestras historias personales. Conocerlas fue realmente encantador y me fascina la idea de poder hacer amigos al otro lado del mundo 💗. De alguna forma se siente como viajar también, a través de sus experiencias!

I find it amazing to meet a friend of a friend and click with that person from the second one. But, I find it even more incredible to meet that person and that the connection is immediate, as if it was someone coming from your own country even though.... it's really a person from Sweden 😱.
Yesterday I learned, in a very beautiful way, that which unites and connects us with other human beings, beyond our nationality, language, culture or religion.
Yesterday we met Juli and Rūta, two sisters that my husband's sister met during her time as an exchange student in Sweden. There was a beautiful friendship between them and now that they were visiting Latin America, specifically Colombia, we decided to meet them. My sister-in-law would not be there, as she lives in Argentina, but my husband and I would. And although we did not know Juli and Rūta, we wanted to receive them, meet them, and welcome them not only to Colombia, but also to the Venezuela that we have created in the distance, through our family.
We chose yesterday at 8:00 p.m. to meet, in a shopping mall. I immediately noticed his GREAT kindness. The evening went by very quickly, first with the basic questions to find out who we were, and then, those deeper and more personal conversations that go beyond the country you come from and point directly to who you are.
The meeting started at a typical Colombian food restaurant and we ended up having polas at a BBC. Juli introduced me to Cola-Pola, a fizzy drink with a touch of alcohol that I had not tried and Rūta tried Colombian arepas for the first time. We talked about movies, music, traditions, hobbies... our personal stories. Meeting them was really lovely and I am fascinated by the idea of being able to make friends on the other side of the world 💗. Somehow it feels like traveling too, through their experiences!
