WOO - The Top 10 Intercontinental Champs in WWE

It's @skyehi and I'm back with another blog on Wrestling. Well if I'm back then you know you're about to enjoy a nice wrestling list. For today's blog we're going to take a look at the top 10 best intercontinental champions in the WWE.

WWE has this pretty special title called the Intercontinental Championship.

It's a big deal for wrestling stars on their way to becoming world champs. It always has this prestige that comes with holding that belt.

To be honest I think the new design of the intercontinental championship belt is their best ever.

Today, we're going to celebrate and also pay homage to 10 wrestling legends who made a huge impact as Intercontinental Champions.

Gunther

For the first on the list who is also Bookerman's (The founder of WOO) favorite Wrestler, we have the Ring General Gunther. He is currently the longest reigning intercontinental champion in history. Trust me guys you do want to get into a match with Gunther. His intensity is too much. It mostly ends in injury with him in the ring.

The Honky Tonk Man

The Honky Tonk Man was Intercontinental Champ for a record 454 days! He was charismatic and had a cool Elvis thing going. He really left his mark on the title's history.

Randy "Macho Man" Savage

Randy Savage wasn't just charismatic; he was an awesome wrestler in general. His time as Intercontinental Champ made him a legend.

Shawn Michaels

We also have the heart break kid Shawn Michaels.
Shawn Michaels was one of the best ever. His matches especially during WrestleMania were like action movies. His time with the Intercontinental belt set the bar higher for others.

Bret "The Hitman" Hart

Bret Hart a true wrestling legend was a ring storyteller. His time with the Intercontinental title was like watching an artist at work. We can never mention old time legends without Bret hart.

Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho won the intercontinental championship belt the most times. His has a record of nine time intercontinental champion. Infact until the likes of The Miz and Gunther when I thought of intercontinental champion, the image was Christ Jericho.

Chris Jericho could adapt to anything. His Intercontinental reigns were like watching an artist who keeps evolving.

Edge

The rated R superstar Edge, before becoming a World Champ, was an Intercontinental Champ. He brought a new edge to the title and had a wild journey to the top. Years after his injury, he came back and made big waves competing with legends like Roman Reigns and Randy Orton.

The Miz

The Miz is very popular for his intercontinental championship reigns. He's the Miz and he sure is awesome 😂. Well the Miz was reliable. When he had the Intercontinental title, you knew it'd be a good show. Miz is the only two time grandslam champion in WWE

Dolph Ziggler

Dolph Ziggler made his opponents look great. His Intercontinental title reigns were about showing off his opponent's talents. He went to NXT and came back to Smackdown and Raw multiple times.

Seth Rollins

Last but certainly not the least, another grandslam champion, Seth Freaking Rollins. One thing I really love about Seth Freaking Rollins right now is the outfits he brings.

It's super unorthodox and trust me guys if you're in a match with Seth Rollins, prepare to have a time of your life trying to win😂.
Seth Rollins made the Intercontinental title cool in the modern era. He worked hard and brought excitement to WWE.

To draw the curtains on my blog today, these champions, including Gunther's record reign, have made the Intercontinental Championship a symbol of greatness. It's a stepping stone to wrestling stardom, and these legends are the reason WWE remains so loved by millions today.
