ST FRANCIS OF ASSISI ...HEROES OF GOD ..STERLING MEDALION !!😀
Silvertop had to do some digging to find out about this medallion.....And this is what I found !
This Sterling medallion was minted in 1972 by the American Mint, and this was one of sixty Sterling medallion's in the Heroes of God Collection....For Catholic Digest.
This was the first in the series of 60, marketed at a reduced cost to get you to buy one each Month till you achieved a complete set.
This Sterling round is 39mm in diameter, and has a high relief antique finish.
Coin collecting was very popular when I was a kid, my buddy's Dad was a collector, and my parents were too.
Unfortunately my parents started this series, only to cancel it later on, so I have an incomplete set....But the message stuck.........😀

I think the complete set would be hard to find. Most of these were probably priced high back then....I have one more that I will share!😀

I really love the look and feel of these rounds. I was just a kid when my parents ordered these, then they saw a monthly bill and they canceled the series, so sad!!
I only have one more and I will show this one soon!
