Hi guys, this is another of Silvertops blast from the past, this is a Medallic Art Co Silver Madallion!

This .999 Fine Silver "round" is dated 1970, and that is probably the year I purchased this Silver....
Or maybe I should say my Mom purchased this Silver! 😇
You see Silvertop has been a coin collector from a very young age, and if this was purchased ( Mail Order) in 1970 Little Silvertop was little LOL!🤔 It's not MY Birthday like @welshstacker....so I'm not telling!!!

Can you read this.....Silvertop can't so I had to bring out my old Para-Mag Magnifier from when I was a Stripper in the Graphic Arts.......I just Love telling people that LOL!!😳

So looking closely you can see that this is number 257, and minted by the parent company of the Northwest Territorial Mint, The Medallic Art Co NY

I don't know how much this Silver sold for back then but I am sure it was way over priced.

I just checked and I found that the spot Silver price in 1979 ranged from $1.56 to $2.00
This round has depth, with antique Silver finish, and I can understand why people were buying these overpriced but beautiful Medallions......

Silvertop..Mike😀

Another Northwest Territorial Mint product.
I thought Medallions were often 0.925 which often can explain why the weight being more than One oz but 1.195 oz is more.
Odd, so then this nice round is almost 1.2 oz of 0.999 Ag.

This one is .999 fine Silver, I have two more that we’re picked up about the same time, I will share later.
They are .925 fine silver and are marked Catholic digest. I’m thinking that they probably came from this same mint but I cannot be sure!🤔

Thanks, They did very good quality, too bad about the Northwest Territorial Mint....
It unraveled the company...🙁
