A picture is worth a Thousand words - The long await continues

What I see

A well settled home, but kept untidy. An evening picture that shows a lady staring at the windows in the moonlit night. It shows that the lady is not all alone, but with the company of a faithful dog. Further it shows the books are not kept neatly in the shelf, the floor is untidy which has not been cleaned for a long time. A clock that stopped working.

What I feel

Looks like she is been seated there for days or months or years expecting someone.
This picture depicts a touching story behind the lady.

A fictional story

Let's go to a fantasy world. Long ago... deep in the woods was a Mansion, surrounded by colourful roses and other flowers. A pond at one corner with lot of swans swimming happily. At one corner were mango groves, wherein, birds nest was in visibility in almost all the trees. In one the trees hung a swing. Though it was a large garden, it was always clean. This is the exterior picture of the garden.

"Oh! Were are you, my little angel" came a female voice from inside. "Iam here Mama" came the response from the little girl swinging in the garden.

Quite a well off family with a husband and wife in their 30's and a playful cheerful girl who was six years old, the parent's of the couples and with a lot of maids around, comprised the family.

The man, works as a Minister in the Kings palace and was too faithful to the King. He was much proud if his position. One day a visitor made his entry to the Kings court. He proved himself to be an astrologer by saying things that long happened and to be happened in the Kings palace. So the king occupied him with the position of an Astrologer in the palace.

Most of his predictions always turned to be true. But the Minister always felt he manipulates the King to get his things done. One evening, a grand feast was arranged for all the officials and members of the Kings court, in honour of a victory over a neighboring kingdom, as predicted by the Astrologer. It was grand one, where everybody praised the Astrologer.

The Minister was not happy and the Astrologer noticed the Minister ignored him very often. One day, the Astrologer warned the Minister to move away from his Mansion, as something worse was to befall them very soon. Ignoring it as a fool's talk, he continued living their.

One evening, as usual when the child was playing in the swing, a black bird while flying, fell to the ground. As it was injured, the family took th initiative to recover its health by taking good care. Once it recovered, they let it go. But it was happy playing within the garden

From then on, strange things started happening in the Ministers mansion. The mango trees started to dry inspite of plesant weather as such the happy birds flew away. The flowers that bloomed started to wither away and the swans started to die one after the other. This scared everyone in the mansion. Only then the Minister recounted the words of the Astrologer. So he ran to the palace to meet him.

The Astrologer said, "I warned you to leave the mansion at once, but you ignored my words. Now, you will lose one by one who is close to you". Then he paused for a moment and said "Their will be one survivor who will live for long and wait for death to take over." Finally, he stopped by saying the black bird was a bad Omen.

Now, the scared Minister felt sorry for ignoring the words of the Astrologer. Days, months and years passed and the man was losing one by one. When his turn came, he hugged his wife and felt sorry to leave her alone. Years passed by and the house became a haunted one.

Once a mansion with more people, now a deserted place, where she sat waiting for her turn to join her dear ones.
