Let’s talk expectations for a minute. 👌🏼

"Like I said on the team call the other night.. People overestimate the amount of money they are going to make while underestimating the amount of work it is going to take".
I am finding that more and more people have unrealistic expectations about their year one income levels, in our profession. 🤔
Unfortunately, I think our industry is partly to blame. 🤷🏼‍♂️ Years of highlighting overnight riches (with a backstory you almost never hear.) have set the wrong expectation. 😏
👉🏼 Fact: You don’t get paid for effort, you get paid for volume. 💯
I often hear people say, “I’m working way to hard to only be earning this little amount.”
This comes from being taught, our whole lives, that our worth is related to time. 💵 In other words, you get paid ___$ per hour. Or, you get paid a certain amount every day, week, month or year. 🗓
Network marketing doesn’t work that way. 🤷🏼‍♂️ We are not paid by time, nor effort. We are paid based on results! 💯
Remember the 57 rules of success:
#1-56 don’t matter.
#57 deliver the goods.
In this business, you will do a lot of things that you don’t get paid for, early on. The trade off is you will get paid A LOT for things you didn’t do, down the road.
As the old saying goes, “would you rather earn 100% of your efforts. Or 1% of 100 people’s efforts.”
Most people quit way too soon! ❌ They are short sighted and don’t understand the power of exponential growth, and residual income. They have a lottery mentality and are looking for easy money. (Need not apply)
As I always say, “it’s not get rich quick, but it is get rich possible.”
It takes time 🕰 for an organization to fully develop. The reality is this could take 2-3 years before you develop enough residual income, to go full time.

  • “Are their exceptions to the rule?” Sure.
  • “But Chip, Company “X” has people making __$ in their first month.”
    Uh-huh. . . Sure they do. 😂
There is a saying I’m fond of, “fast cash = fast crash.” 📉
Remember it takes 12 hours to build a Toyota, 🚙 and six months to build a rolls Royce.”
My question, (to anyone who may think that is too long) is there anything else you are currently working on, that has the potential to retire you from your job, in the next few years? 🤔
The reality is, the network marketing profession was built on “part time” and an extra $500 per month. Your success, and ability to go full time, will largely depend on how many people you can help meet that $500 benchmark! 🎯
Expecting to generate a full time income, in your first year, only sets you - and your new members, up for disappointment. 😫
This is a business. And just like any traditional business, it’s going to take time. Time for your team to develop. As well, time for YOU to learn, grow, adapt, and gain some credibility. 💯
Just remember, you can’t rush something that you want to last! Success is the natural reward for taking time to do anything well. 👌🏼

Yep, for sure Sean, you have to start a business like anything else; from the ground up. But one has to stick to it, as most people generally give up prior to a breakthru.

Really great words of advice @seanpb, and very true, it's not the rewards today but one year or more from now that you are working on right now, keep up your great work and stay awesome.
