By the side of the nuns square, Miranda avenue, near the bus stop. A lady passes by and stares at me. She is surprised to see me take pictures of the ground. I approach her. With some of that shyness that I can never fully control, I explain: "-Beautiful shadows, look at how they replicate the foliage on the asphalt ... it's something ... artistic." She looks at me with compassion, smiles slightly and quickens her steps. I imagine she thinks that I am missing a screw What can I do? Shadowhunter by trade!
Lateral de la placita de las monjas, Av. Miranda, cerca de la parada del bus. Pasa una señora y se me queda mirando. Le extraña verme tomar fotos al suelo. Me le acerco. Con algo de esa timidez que nunca logro dominar totalmente le explico: "-Hermosas sombras, fíjese cómo replican el follaje en el asfalto...es algo...artístico" Me mira con conmiseración, sonríe apenas y apresura el paso. Me imagino que piensa que me falta un tornillo ¡Qué se le va a hacer! ¡Gajes del oficio de ser cazador de sombras!

Trees are excellent because they are beautiful to look at and also give us lovely shadows to view.
