August 1st HIVE Power Up Day!

Today is my 14th time to participate in $HIVE Power Up Day and the eighth for 2023.

Still busy with my papers. The last post I made was 10 days ago. It's good that today is $HIVE PUD that compelled me to publish even a short report despite my busy schedule.

Yesterday, I submitted two Reading Reports for my Ph. D. course. One is easy for the only information I need to include are the list of books I read and the total number of pages I completed. The second isn't easy. It's like a second paper for I need to write not only the total number of pages I read per book, I also need to include the thesis of the book, the summary of main points, the insights I learned, and the practical steps to apply those insights in my life and ministry. The final requirement that I was supposed to submit yesterday was a 25 page research paper.

As I ended my day yesterday, I came up with a revised title for my paper and a tentative outline. My topic is about Public Engagement as Mission.

Before writing this piece, earlier I powered up 15 $HIVE and here now is the update of my Hive account:

Despite my inactivity for the last 10 days due to my academic requirement, I managed to increase my HP growth by 11.98% and my cumulative growth is 120.80%.

I think the reason for such a growth is the two $HIVE purchases I made for the month of July. Earlier last month the first purchase was around 4,000.00 PHP worth of $HIVE and just two to three days ago, I bought again close to 2,000.00 PHP worth of $HIVE. Perhaps, my growth would be bigger if I managed to consistently upload a video on 3Speak and publish an article on LeoFinance.

The next three weeks will be the start of new set of courses and that would mean three more additional papers.

As for my work in the Business Office, just yesterday, an inspector from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) visited us and was asking for 23 documents. It's really a big headache dealing with government agencies. I think earlier this year, we just completed paying our penalties to the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR). Our next target now is to apply for amnesty to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). We are still not done with all this compliance, and here comes the DOLE asking for more papers. I never expected that this will be the kind of job I will be working with since I started my work here in the Business Office last March 16.

I don't like this kind of experience but I feel I have no choice but to endure this kind of situation. This made me wonder what freedom really is.
